New single landing this month; Album to follow in April.

19/January/2005 - 10:11

Californian-based radio station "Triple A Radio" has updated their website with a release date for the first single from Ben's upcoming album "Songs for Silverman".

The first song will be "Landed", which has been performed at various shows (lyrics and chords can be found here) will be released not in February as expected, but on the very last day of this month (31st/Jan)!

As if that wasn't enough, the single was played on 102.3 BXR, so anyone able should keep their ears peeled and their tuners firmly superglued into position.

It's worth noting that this is a US release - singles vary a lot from country to country - so keep an eye out and don't be afraid to bully your local record store staff.

Although not confirmed on any website (yet), there was an announcement on air that the album will be out in April. Can't wait that long, you say? Well there's also a rumour that the long awaited re-release of "Whatever and Ever Amen" with additional bonus tracks originally intended for Ben Folds Five's never-emerging 4th studio album will finally hit stores on the 7th of March. In case you were wondering, it was first mentioned waaay back in 2001 for release at the same time as "Rockin' the Suburbs".
