Ben Heads Into the Studio

5/September/2007 - 20:02

Ben will be heading into the studio this month to start work on his new album. Hurrah! This is certainly the best way to break months of no news whatsoever...

According to my sources (who heard it from someone else, so you may want to RumourMill this for a while), Ben will be heading into Chicago's Engine Music Studios to record his new album with producer Brian Deck (Josh Ritter, Iron & Wine, Fruit Bats, Holopaw) this very month!

Before you ask, I have no idea why he's not using his studio in Nashville. Maybe he's doing a bit in each, or wants to work with Brian so badly he's prepared to go to him. Any way it goes, it's awesome news and I'm hoping that this new partnership will mix things up a bit, especially as we've heard nothing new on the road.

If he is recording this month, expect to see the fruits sometime in the first half of 2008.

Thanks to you-know-who-you-are for the info.
