Another Rush fan!  I'm pleasantly surprised there'd be three of us on a Ben Folds Five board.  What city/venue did they play?

I saw them in Holmdel, NJ in 7/02. One of the greatest shows I've ever seen.

I'm going to refine the parameters to bands/individuals I've seen multiple times.  This way, I'm judging consistancy.

1)The Connells.  I've seen them about 15 times over the years and I've only been to one bad show - Beacon Theater, opening for The Replacements in '91.  The sound was lousy.  When Doug starts crooning Manilow, it's hysterical.

2) Joe Jackson.  Saw him twice on this tour with the original band, plus countless other times.  I love how he's always doing variations of his classic songs.

3) The B-52s.  It's like a luau gone wild.

4) INXS.  Michael Hutchence was a rock god.  He had amazing stage presence.

5) Peter Himmelman.  He's very chatty and makes up spontaneous lyrics to songs.  Last time I saw him, he invited someone up from audience to accompany him on bongos.

Other:  I just saw Springsteen for my first time last week (I had tix in '85, but couldn't go because I was out of the country), but he's amazing.
Don't change your plans for me ...

hey Dan!  I forgot that was your 'handle'.

We all saw them about the same time.  I saw them in Dallas in August of 02.  I was on the fifth row, we paid WAY too much for our tickets.  I'm glad we did though.  I was directly in front of the stage right speakers.  OUCH!

Giving away my age a bit, I saw them on the 'Kilroy was here' tour.  Awesome show, one of the best I've ever seen.  I was VERY young, by the way, so hold off on the 'you're old' comments:)  It was like a broadway musical colliding with a rock concert.  Awesome!  I wouldn't go see them now, though.  Dennis DeYoung isn't with them currently, and they lose a lot without him.
