Just listened, they were on between midday and 12:45, and played 2 songs... Draw a crowd (edited for radio: "If you can't draw a crowd, draw a uh on the wall").

BEST THING I HAVE READ ON THE INTERNET SINCE THE LAST RECORD WAS ANNOUNCED.

Interviewer: Would you do it that way again [release a record on Pledge Music]? Cause I know you've said you've got enough music for a couple more albums.

Ben: Well, I mean, it was an amazing experience, Pledge were fantastic. If it were today, yeah, probably. Thing is what we've got in this music business these days, is different. It changes every month. As the great depression of the music business drags on, things are different. Maybe in a year or two when we make another record, there might be a whole different method of distribution. It might be putting MIDI cables up everyone's butts or something.

She follows up on it a bit later;

Interviewer: What are you guys going to be doing next? How far does the plan extend? And what is it? You said that maybe get back into the studio in a year, or maybe two years was the timeline that you mentioned earlier.
Ben: Playing it all by ear right now. We've got a lot of territories to play. And um........................... and I think we'd like to make another record? We haven't specifically discussed it, sound like a good idea? Another record?
Robert: Okay?!
Ben: You heard it here first. That was our discussion.

There has been talk of a new album over the last month or 2. Ben has stated that it could be a more jazz-orientated record (possibly instrumental??) They do seem to be playing a lot of jazzy improvs during their shows this year.

Folds notes that the group tends to "mix everything in one album stylistically," but looking beyond the 10 songs that appear on "The Sound..." he also sees the possibility for a more specialized release. "There's a lot of different albums to make at any given moment, and ('The Sound...') seemed to glow the most. We've got another of these kind of albums in us, but we may also be able to make an EP of fairly jazzy material. When I say 'jazzy,' not like complex jazzy -- more like Ramsey Lewis Trio jazzy. We have that sound, just some really fun, groovy things that we were doing. They had vocals but were more about being instrumental in some ways. So we might do something like that."
