I think he likes to say these things to make the crowd feel special. I've heard him say a few times before playing a Hornby song, "you've heard it hear first" when that's not the least bit true.

googled it and it apparently stands for "Yet another Bulletin Board"

This was a great night! Time was awesome, the drum kit at the end of Steven's Last Night in Town was great and Hiro's Song on the drums worked really well. Love(d) Evaporated too. This was well worth travelling many thousands of miles and nearly getting caught in a giant volcanic dust cloud for!  ;D
