Is it just me or is Ben going back to doing improv songs and stuff at concerts?

Wind Up Monkey was improv. He segued from "Don't Change Your Setlist" over to a song about how he's got to play certain songs and swear like he always does, like a wind up monkey haha.

It was a pretty fantastic show, the best I've seen from him so far but I've only been to 5 shows total.

Also, I was the one that yelled Tom and Mary when he finished Kylie so that was awesome.

Tom and Mary was with band. He had to tell them the chords before he started playing haha.

Edit: Haha, it was actually pretty funny. He said something along the lines of "Chances are if it's not E or A then it's E#" What a great man.

This was a really great show.  I almost didn't go because his last solo appearance in Detroit felt lame after the reunion tour.  He rocked the shit out of that theatre!  I can't even remember hearing "Tom and Mary" live before - i was one of many people dispersed in the audience that i couldn't see that was rocking out in my chair!  I have new hope in Ben Folds today.  I still think Jared looks and acts like one the meanest assh*les on stage.  I wish they'd play as a threesome - Ben and Sam look at each other but Jared stands stiff as a board, acts as bored, and looks the other way.  ugh.

Jared's stage persona cracks me up at times...in a Derek Smalls (Spinal Tap) sorta way.

i hate how people just write jared off as like a douche or an ass because he doesn't look like's into the music. he's into it, he just doesn't express himself how robert does and i'm glad he doesn't copy robert's style that'd just be weird and almost a slap in the face to robert.
