............. i think i need help.

now to wonder, who's opening these May shows?

Hopefully no one. Haha.
3+ hours of Ben? That would probably be amazing. Unless he fell asleep on stage of exhaustion

Okay, we're definitely doing Columbia, but probably not Tulsa. HOWEVER... that west coast trio is mighty tempting... we're giving that trip some thought.

ok, ok i've pretty much given up on the ryman doing that, because i'd be going by myself all the way out to a major city :( and i hate driving in them.

so my dad lives in arkansas and that's three hours away from fayetteville and the music pavillion so i'm going to talk to him tomorrow and see if he'll spot me money for a ticket and i can drive out and spend the week with him and get to take him to see ben. so he can share in some of the madness and share something that we've never done before.

i think that'd be a pretty badass trip to take, we've never really done anything like this before so it'd be some cool father son bonding time. i'm going to talk to him about it sometime today and try and set everything up. here's to hoping i get the f*cking M&G!
dont overplay, keep it simple and in the pocket, support the song, and you will be asked to play more than you have time to. - Chuck Folds

Ben's getting closer. I'm hoping an Eastern Washington date or two appears sometime soon in that April 29 thru May 13th void.

When Ben played KU in 2006 it sold out to students.

It's too bad this is not near the other shows out there in the end of May, cause then I'd really super consider it.

There's a lot of time between April 8th and the next scheduled show in NJ on April 24th. I'm hoping he throws in some more midwest dates to fill it in.

I just figured it was some time off. :P

Cause I dunno, it seems like even April 8th being announced now is a biiiiiiiiit late notice. I mean, I already have gigs in April planned.

Ditto - we were going to buy All-American Rejects/Shiny Toy Guns tickets today, for a show on the 8th. Good thing we're procrastinators - I'd rather see Ben any day.

I personally would not mind another Canadian date, of course. I'd gladly purchase a greyhound ticket for an Ottawa or Montreal show.

Concert du Ben Folds sur Canada Francais, SVP?

And West Coast, Ben! I know tonnes of people aching for a Calgary or Vancoover show.
As you know I hang upside down in a dark closet like a bat until summoned.

Frack, this ruins my "KC as Show 60" plan. Guess it'll have to be 61... Unless it sells out. K-State is a little more like UMKC than KU though, so I'm betting the fanbase there isn't as rabid, unlike Lawrence which was a staple on Ben Folds Five tours for years.

I think Sabs and I may hit this show up. Who else is going to try? Allison - how are you doing with numbers? Where do we sit with our secret evil plan?

Well I have yet to figure out if I can get off of work for any of the upcoming dates. The only one I have scheduled is whichever day Ben's playing lolla cause I haz 60 dollar 3-day pass. And while I'd love to go out east to see Darren open for Ben, I dunno if that's anywhere near the cards for me. It's more likely to get those last May shows with you.
