hahahaha. it's alright. ben talked about trying to do the stems on here already. glad it actually happened.

I don't think he can do math though. (STILL)

And so we have "Way To Normal: Stems and Seeds" - two disks. One disk is a remix, remaster, re-sequence of "Way To Normal" along with the now legendary (in our own minds) 'fake' tracks, the Japanese version of "Hiroshima", the Conan Rehearsal of "You Don't Know Me" and the Piano Orchestra version of "Cologne" - a total of 20 tracks.
12 tracks on WTN + 6 Fake + 3 = 21 tracks. Is Before and At Cologne together??! (That's the only thing that makes sense)

Guess this means I finally have to join the fan club now.  Still, quite the kickass reason for doing so!

One small step for The Man, one giant leap in the loudness wars.

I'm still laughing too damn hard at the end of Ben's message to finish signing up for the fan club...

THANK YOU, BEN!  We love you, and you obviously love us.  It shows.  :)

So, now I guess I have reason to join the fan club!!  But it would be nice if it said somewhere specifically that we'd get this package, besides Ben's blog...cause ever since they changed their minds about the singyourheartout contest rules I'm afraid they'll change their minds about this too...

But anyway, what's in the welcome package?  Trying to decide if it's really worth it to join the fan club, although the cost alone is worth it for this new package!
Currently writing my first album....hopefully will record it soon.

I'm thinking that we couldn't do a damn thing with it. To me it sounds like it's one of the least compressed songs on the album because every time I come off my errant dog high and go into this it's like a drop on the decible meter. We could boost the signals on it yes, but other than that ben has said that this record was recorded very differently and funky than the others so it's extremely likely that the compression is built into the songs like he said that it was.

Though I now need a mac book and a fan club membership :(
dont overplay, keep it simple and in the pocket, support the song, and you will be asked to play more than you have time to. - Chuck Folds

garrrr. stupid fan club!
i suppose SOMEONE will host these tracks. i have absolutely no moneys. in fact, i had to lend my dad another $200 just so he could pay the house payment. f*ck me.
My new philosophy is that a crappy tape deck somewhere plays a greatest hits collection of strange and tender moments, lost, stranded, and forgotten. I'll meet you there.

he mentioned that thing about listening to it in the car stereo, and that's where i've been listening to the album mostly, i guess that's part of why i didn't really notice anything jarring about it
