i'm a a bit slow on this news...
but i do like her solo album a lot more than the dolls stuff. still, i will miss the dolls. i hope brian is up to something good...
oasis is my fave track, and on the album, i love the talking on some of the ends of songs. nice touch.

That is rather sad... but I must say, I can't get enough of her new album.  I've listened to it all the way through nearly every day for the past week.  It's great.

There are at least two out now. I Google You (live) and Straight (with or without strings... go for the stings version)

There is going to be a bonus disc in email format emailed before Christmas, has like 12??

You know, Amanda doesn't like Oasis much, but Ben's the reason it was on the album. She's very worried that people are going to think all of her music is that way.

Which, clearly, it's not.  Though. What's an AP album without some sort of sexual-misbehavior possibly rape track? Really?

Though. Amanda solo shows are awesome...... but, with Brian there was just so much, well, more, noise! She can't do much Dolls back work without a drummer. Half Jack without the drums was odd.

i'm glad Ben decided on Oasis.  it's easily my most listened to track on the album.  between that one and Runs In The Family... mmm...

Both the "Ben" tracks, you mean Smiley I love when Ben sings along with "to see Blur in October" in Oasis, and the whole "that I was a crackwhore" (Yeeeaaaaah!) thing Smiley (shakity shakity shakity shakity)

I also love Leeds United though too - something Ben had nothing to do with. And Guitar Hero, and others.

Seeing her on the 6th Smiley The gig's in a really small venue. So small I wasn't even aware it was a venue...

I wore my I Killed Amanda Palmer shirt today.

When my sister walked in the house after school, as I was leaving for work she looked at me and said.... "HOW COOOUULLLDD YOUUUU AFTER ALL THAT SHE'S DONE FOR YOU!!?!?"

And I was like... wtf?

And she was like... omg ur shirt duhz?

And I was like. lol. my bff rose?

That ended horribly.

To make amends: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9N3PQq-jWI

I must also add that I love Ben's little back up "to see Blur in October, and I think we're still going" and all the hand claps and all of Oasis really. It makes me laugh. A lot. And then I feel bad that I'm laughing at a rape victim. Embarrassed Imagonnagolistenagainrightnow.

Just back from the first gig of her tour in Dublin and was a fantastic gig, one of the best I've been to in years. Some of the stuff - Runs in the Family and Ampersand in particular - sound amazing live, although Astronaut suffered a little bit without the production values. But a great show (good peformances from her touring buddies - Jason Webley is a genius, and the Danger Ensemble acted throughout her show providing a good few laughs) and if shes coming near you go to see!

Mr Folds got a mention to, with Amanda mentioning that Strength To Music was another choice of his for the album despite her misgivings.

Good. It seems Ben has a lot to answer for this record being as good as it is.

10 minute interview with amanda.  she ends up talking about Ben all through out.
the link is at the bottom left hand corner.

she mentions that she'll be in australia in january/february, which is exactly when ben said he'd be there.  coincidence?

How did I miss this?  This news has made my day just pondering the possibilities...

Oh, Christ, that "yeeeeeah!" scared the shit out of me the other week when I was home alone, listening to Oasis (easily one of my top 10 songs of the year) late at night... I hadn't picked up on it before then...
