So...did anyone else get that email from the BFFC yesterday?

CASTING CALL FOR EXTRAS for BEN FOLDS FILMING HIS NEXT DVD!!
URGENT OPPORTUNITY FOR BEN FOLDS FAN CLUB MEMBERS (RESPOND TODAY!):

On Monday, June 16 in Nashville, Tennessee, Ben Folds will be filming segments for his future DVD release at his own recording studio. A select number of Ben Folds Fan Club members will be cast as extras to participate in the filming of his DVD due for worldwide commercial release.

CONTEST RULES:

Who Qualifies:

Current and recent members of Ben Folds Fan Club only.
You must be 18 or older.
You will have to sign a talent waiver when you arrive.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Be one of the first sixteen (16) members of Ben Folds Fan Club to reply to fanclub@benfolds.com
Type in the SUBJECT heading: [DVD CASTING CALL]

PLEASE only enter the contest if you can 100% participate in the DVD filming time frame. If you will not be able to make the filming at the specified time and date, please refrain from replying to provide ample opportunities for other members to participate.

DEADLINE: Now until 3:00 PM-EST on Friday, June 13, 2008. All extras cast will be notified by email on the afternoon of Friday, June 13, 2008.

DETAILS:

If you are cast, you must arrive at Ben’s recording studio (location to be announced) no later than 9:45 AM on Monday, June 16, 2008.
DVD filming will take place between 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
You will have to bring ALL WHITE CLOTHING to wear, specifically white pants and a white button up shirt
A valid photo ID will be required to participate.

I emailed ASAP yesterday, and JUST GOT CONFIRMATION THAT I WAS SELECTED.

i love that BFFC assumes that people who don't live directly near Nashville wouldn't be able to participate.  ughs.

sounds like a blast though.  congratulations.  better run to the nearest good will and find some nice 80s era white pants.

I'm really excited.  First time DVD appearance for me.  I'm confused as to what it will be though.  Segments of a DVD?  Will this be a concert?  Music video?  "Spare Reels"-esque skit?  Why white?

If I remember correctly, there were cameras at the Berry show.  So will that be part of the DVD too?

So many questions.  I hope some and more get answered on Monday.

White pants always make me think of Lindz. The show in Columbia, MO on November 5th, 2006 he was wearing white pants and Ben made a point of telling everyone.

My first concert buddy Mark and I used to go to Folds shows the first two years of college, and for Christmas one year, I bought him a striped polo that looked like the one Linz used to wear all the time.
