3 short videos of Ben and Amanda in the studio:  http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=amandapalmer&p=r
Good thing Amanda's obsessed with youtube!

Her latest blog entry talks about working on the new album with Ben, Jared, Zoe Keating (of Rasputina!)....  And if you haven't read her blog before, it's not just a short blurb but rather a stream-of-consciousness essay.  Good stuff!

Amanda Palmer is one half of the BRILLIANT Dresden Dolls. She plays piano and sings. I'm not sure what the guy in DD does... She seems to be the driving force (no discredit to him though). Anyway, they're/she's really good. So this album should be too.

The 'guy' is Brian Viglione and he plays drums and occasionally guitar. He's about as awesome a drummer as you're ever likely to see (No offence to Sam and Lindsay but he's just better). And although Amanda writes all the songs, he's a big part of what they do, especially in terms of their fabulous live shows.

Hanny you should buy both the DD albums immediately. And then you should buy their 'Live at the Roundhouse' DVD when it comes out in July as it's the recording of an amazing gig (I was there so I know it's going to be good).

Well, I've had their first album for ages (a friend did me a copy) and I don't have sleeve notes. I knew Amanda played piano, sung and wrote all the songs, so I reckoned that he couldn't do "that much", but, at the same time, knew that him and her both featured equally in promotional stuff, so I figured he must do something to balance it out... Cheers for clearing that up!

I've been listening to them a lot this week, so just made the decision to buy the second album... I'll also be getting the DVD when it comes out.
