XM50--The Loft Sessions--Setlist
« on: December 19, 2005, 09:43:55 AM »
Listened to XM50's The Loft Sessions just now and here is the setlist:

Fred Jones Part 2
Sentimental Guy
(makes up a jingle for the Loft)
Late
Gracie ("she needed her song, so I wrote her this one")
Still Fighting It
Zak & Sara
Don't Change Your Plans
Brick
Jesusland
Lullabye
Kate (appropriate given that Kate Bradley hosted the show)

The show runs approximately 42 minutes and is fabulous. Unfortunately I do not have an XM receiver with recording capabilities.  But maybe someone does and the show will be repeated three more times this week.  For the schedule go to http://www.xmradio.com/programming/channel_page.jsp?ch=50 and click the picture of Ben and Kate.

I'll catch it tonight at 9 PM ET... was it Ben solo or did he have his band?

It's Ben solo. This is wonderful, Ben's in top form. Someone find a way to record this.

it was really good. i loved the little made jingle thing he did with the weird voice, and at the end of it he said "f*ck it" or something...
My new philosophy is that a crappy tape deck somewhere plays a greatest hits collection of strange and tender moments, lost, stranded, and forgotten. I'll meet you there.

What I was most impressed with is Still Fighting It... every time I've heard him do it recently he really could barely squeak it out... but this time, it was wonderful. He had to go into falsetto a few times, but it really worked.

Hey, would you mind if I separated it track by track and posted it to download from my site? People really should hear this, and rapidshare can only do so much...

Thanks so much for posting this... !  But, I do notice, too, the skipping throughout... maybe it's my computer, but I don't think so... anyone have a copy that doesn't skip?  It's gorgeous...

I noticed the skipping while listening to it. I think i screwed it up while messing around with the audio. I'll take a look at it later and try to post a better copy.
