okay, so this show was pretty much the most amazing thing ever!

i'll start out with Ben Lee:

To start the show, Ben Lee comes out with his band and plays about 5 songs, all i think off his new album, and he was amazing. He even kissed his guitarist on the cheek! At the end of his last song, Ben Lee jumps into the crowd and starts playing in there! then, you start hearing drums, and Ben Folds walks out with a snare drum on his hip! It was so awesome! Ben Lee was really good for only doing 5 songs, he sounded great, and was great with the audience!

Rufus Wainwright:

So after Ben Lee leaves the stage, we had to wait a good 15 min for the sound guys to set-up for Rufus. Then he comes out, and you can hear all the gay guys screaming his name. So yeah, he comes on wearing a black shirt with a rose attached to it, and pinkish-tan pants with loads of other different colors and shapes! It was so pretty! haha....Anyway, so Rufus sounded pretty good, a little too mellow for my taste, but he had an amazing voice!

Ben Folds!:

The best part of the show was when Ben Folds stepped onto the stage for his performance. The crowd went nuts, and he opened with "Bastard"-perfect.

The song was amazing! The only downfall to the show was that i couldnt see Lin-Z beating the shit out of the drums because the piano was right in the way :'(

Anyway, second song was "Gone" which, again, was amazing! Then i think was "Zak and Sara", and at this point people are jumping up and down, and i swear the floor was about to collapse! You could just feel all the energy of the crowd and band! I'm not really sure the order of the songs, but "Bitches Aint Shit" was probably the best version i've ever heard. Right in the middle, the music stops, and Lin-Z says something like, "Ben, i need to speak you very candidly about this woman. She's just way out of your league" in his very proper english accent. Then Ben says, to Jared, "What does he mean? I dont understand", and J-Rey goes, "I think what he's trying to say is.....f*ck that bitch!". Then Ben does some random lines before "bitches cant hang with the streets" like, "i've done recent studies (bitches cant hang with streets)".

Then out of nowhere, he says "buck o' five!" haha.

Next, i think, was his solo set, in which he started with "Lullabye", then "Dont Change Your Plans", then "Underground" which has the most amazing story that i'm about to tell you.

He starts out by saying "this was my first hit in the UK, see if y'all know what it is, then you very faintly hear the first line of Underground, everything goes quiet, and i was expecting everyone to do the next line, so i just shout out, "i'm sure you dont remember me!", and no one else did, Ben looks at me, smiles, walks over to the crowd, and hands me a 5 dollar bill!!!!!!!!!!

So, the show went on, and once he played the last song, he and the band left the stage, and as Ben walked by, i threw my blue hawiian lei thing on stage, and he caught it and put it on!. Once he was off, the crowd was going crazy to get an encore by screaming "Ben Folds!, Ben Folds!", and about 5 min later, Ben, Jared, and Lin-Z head back on stage and played "One Angry Dwarf"! So incredibly awesome!

They walk off again, and i was just in awe! We walked over to where the shirts were, and i called my dad and told him i'd meet him at the exit (which i waited about 8 min before he came out!)....So he comes out and hands me a t-shirt Ben Lee's autograph on it! Then he says that we should try to get my $5 signed and so we went around back to where the tour buses were, and about 10 min later, B-Fo, J-Rey, and Lin-Z walk out of the building, and we ask them if they'll sign stuff, and Ben Folds goes, "yeah, i'll sign some shit when i come out" and then goes into the tour bus. In the meantime, Jared stayed and signed stuff while smoking a cigarette, and he asked me my name, and i said, "Chloe", and he goes, "from myspace?"....HE REMEMBERED ME FROM MYSPACE!!! AHHH!!! So i got him to sign my stuff, then Ben comes out, and my dad said some nice words to him, and i got my shit signed! Next comes Lin-Z, who is so awesome i might add. He also recognized me from myspace, and we talked for awhile with all of them, and it was soooooo cool! Best night of my life!

My new philosophy is that a crappy tape deck somewhere plays a greatest hits collection of strange and tender moments, lost, stranded, and forgotten. I'll meet you there.

I'm so happy for you, Chloe!! Those pics are cool and all, but some of them are WAY too big. Could you maybe downsize, or link them?
Did you say anything to Ben, or any of the guys?? You must be on cloud 9!!

Thanks for posting those links. Some of those pics are really big. It's kinda nice how they'll show up a bit smaller at first, until you click on them. I kinda like looking at the small versions, only because some are just gigantic.
