Ben in NYC - 8/20
« on: April 12, 2003, 09:04:46 PM »
I received an e-mail today that Ben is playing Summerstage in Central Park on August 20.  It's a double bill - he's playing with Aimee Mann.  Tickets went on sale today and they are still available through Ticketmaster.

I saw BFF there back in '99.  It's outdoors, and really nice on a summer night - as long as it's not raining or 90+ degrees out  8).
Don't change your plans for me ...

Darn - I guess that rules out him playing at V in Chelmsford on the 16th or 17th...

not necessarily.... if he played on the 16th in chelmsford he could easily play central park on the 20th.

(couldn't he?)

Camping at a festival?

Have you ever done that before?

Maybe I'm too attached to my creature comforts.... but, once was way more than enough. Eurgh.

It is my first time (no easy jokes, please  ::) ;D ) but I have done simialr things in the past, used to be a scout, and creature comforts arent that much of an issue.

Plus it is my last blow out before starting work and becoming a grown up, so it will be the last time i have the oppertunity.

And BEN MIGHT BE THERE!!! Thats GOT to be worht sleeping in a cow field for!

Sleeping in a cow field I can just about handle.

It's the, um, violently expelled bodily fluids on tents that I have a few issues with.

And all I ever camped at was the Cambridge Folk Festival.

Anyway, to get this thread back on track - woooo! Ben's doing a gig in new york the day before my birthday! maybe(heavy emphasis on the maybe) if I strike it rich and have the time, that'd be a good present to myself and andy (i know it's not his birthday but it'd be no fun without him).
