I've Landed lyrics and chords
« on: October 29, 2004, 07:26:56 PM »
Bb---F---Eb--Bb----Ab---Eb---Bb------- (2x)

Bb---------------------F/A----------------------
We'd hit the bottom, I thought it was my fault
Gm7---------------------Ebmaj7
And in a way I guess it was
F/A------------------------F/Eb
I'm just now finding out what it was all about

verse 2:

Moved to the west coast away from everyone
She never told me that you called
Back when I was still, I was still in love

chorus:

Bb------------------------------------F------------
Till I opened my eyes and walked out the door
Cm7----------------------
And the clouds came tumbling down
--------Eb-----------Bb-----Eb---------
And it's by my goodbye, I tried
Bb--------------
And I just needed wrong
-------F--------------
Just to make it right
-------Cm7--------------
And to leave myself behind
-----------Eb-----Bb------Eb---
I've been flying high all night
Cm------Cm/Bb-----F/A
So come pick me up...I've landed.

Bb---F---Eb--Bb----Ab---Eb---Bb------- (2x)

verse 3:

Bb------------------F/A----------------------
The daily dramas she made from nothing
Gm7---------------------Ebmaj7
So nothing ever made them right
Bb------------------------F/A----------------------
She liked to push me and talk me back down
Gm7-------------------------------------Ebmaj7
Until I believed I was the crazy one but anyway, I guess I was...

chorus:
So I opened my eyes and walked out the door
And the clouds came tumbling down
And it's by my goodbye I tried
(?)
And to leave myself behind
I've been flying high all night

Cm-------Cm/Bb--F/A------------
If you wrote me off I'd understand it
Cm-------Cm/Bb--F/A-----------
Because I've been on some other planet
Cm-------Cm/Bb--F/A-----------
So come pick me up...I've landed.

bridge and shit:

Abmaj7---------Bbmaj7

-------------Abmaj7---------Bbmaj7
And you will be so
------------Abmaj7---------Bbmaj7
happy to know
------------Bbm----Ab----F--------------
I've come alone, it's over.

Bb---F---Eb--Bb----Ab---Eb---Bb-------

chorus:
Well I opened my eyes and walked out the door
And the clouds came tumbling down
And it's by my goodbye I tried
Down cause the rain on the telephones are
It's ok to call
Now I'll answer for myself

Bb---F---Eb--Bb----Ab---Eb---Bb-------
Bb---F---Eb--Bb----Ab---Eb---Bb-------

I really enjoyed this song, so I've put together a little midi of the intro
Jake. The famous Australian stunt musician.

I think that the "?" line in the second chorus is something like "I've been sailing the seas of a troubled mind."

Sorry, I think it's right as he has it F major with an A  bass...

I think the lyric in the third verse is "down comes the rain and the telephone's on... it's ok to call... I will answer for myself."

"Down cause the rain on the telephones are"... makes no sense.

We'd hit the bottom
I thought it was my fault
And in a way I guess it was
I'm just now finding out
What it was all about

We moved to the west coast
Away from everyone
She never told me that you called
Back when I was still
I was still in love

Til I opened my eyes and walked out the door
And the clouds came tumbling down
And it's bye-bye, goodbye I tried
And I twisted it wrong
Just to make it right
And to leave myself behind
I've been flying high all night

So come pick me up
I've landed

The daily dramas
She made from nothing
So nothing ever made them right
She liked to push me
And talk me back down
Til I believed I was the crazy one
And in a way
I guess I was

That's why I opened my eyes and walked out the door
And the clouds came tumbling down
And it's bye-bye, goodbye I tried
Dragging the sea of a troubled mind
Had to leave myself behind
And it's bye-bye, goodbye I tried

If you wrote me off
I'd understand it
Because I've been on
Some other planet
So come pick me up
I've landed

And you will be so
Happy to know
I've come alone
It's over

Well I opened my eyes and walked out the door
And the clouds came tumbling down
And it's bye-bye, goodbye I tried
Down comes the rain and the telephones on
It's ok to call
Now I'll answer for myself

Come pick me up
I've landed
I've landed

The Released song title is Landed.

This Chord progression:
Bb---F---Eb--Bb----Ab---Eb---Bb------- (2x) Is the intro.

This should actually be:
Bb---Fm---Eb--Bb----Ab---Eb---Bb------- (2x)

This chord Progression is the Chorus:
Bb------------------------------------F------------
Till I opened my eyes and walked out the door
Cm7----------------------
And the clouds came tumbling down
--------Eb-----------Bb-----Eb---------
And it's by my goodbye, I tried
Bb--------------
And I just needed wrong
-------F--------------
Just to make it right
-------Cm7--------------
And to leave myself behind
-----------Eb-----Bb------Eb---
I've been flying high all night
Cm------Cm/Bb-----F/A
So come pick me up...I've landed.

It should be:
Bb------------------------------------Fm------------
Till I opened my eyes and walked out the door
Cm7----------------------
And the clouds came tumbling down
-----Bb/D---Eb-----------Bb-----Eb---------
And it's by my goodbye, I tried
Bb--------------
And I just needed wrong
-------F--------------
Just to make it right
-------Cm7--------------
And to leave myself behind
-----------Eb-----Bb------Eb---
I've been flying high all night
Cm------Cm/Bb-----F/A
So come pick me up...I've landed.
-----------------

Just to post my two cents. I just saw everyone else made corrections to. So don't send me hate mail. Thanks for the lyric transcription though.

The F chords in the intro and chorus are Fm's.
"music is like a hammer in which you can either make something beautiful or do somethin that can make someone lose their faith in mankind."

i think it's "dragging the sea of a troubled mind, had to leave myself behind"....
My new philosophy is that a crappy tape deck somewhere plays a greatest hits collection of strange and tender moments, lost, stranded, and forgotten. I'll meet you there.
