Amazing show! Closest, most intimate Ben Folds/Five show I've been lucky enough to attend.  Seeing them again tomorrow in Portland! Woot woot!

Setlist:
Michael Praytor
Jackson Cannery
Hold That Thought
Selfless, Cold and Composed
Erase Me
Landed
Sky High
Missing the War
brief cover of Reunited (by Peaches & Herb-- had to look that one up)
Battle of Who Could Care Less
Draw a Crowd
Thank You for Breaking My Heart
Brick
Philosophy
Kate
Do It Anyway
Alice Childress
Song for the Dumped
Army

Encore:
Magic (not on printed setlist)
Underground
One Angry Dwarf

[EDIT: correction on song order]

I came to post the set list, but alas, 'tis done. I'll just say, instead, that "I was there, too!"

(Hi Andy!)

One correction.  It was Song for the Dumped and then Army.

Out of the number of shows I've gone to this was one of the best.  The band sounded as fresh, vigorous, funny, and solid as I've ever heard them. That they can still command a room like that is a testament. And the thoroughly packed crowd was kickass, save for the jackasses that talked loudly through the start of "Thank You for Breaking My Heart" and this couple behind us who felt the need to keep chatting through a song until they got a stare thrown their way. Everyone launching into the horn parts on "Army" without prompting -- of course, as it was still a solo Ben staple, everyone was conditioned -- and the sound effects on "Underground" after so many years was wild. So awesome to see Darren on the drums again live and Sledge rocking the bass and the stand-up bass (one of my favorites). And Folds was a dorky and engaging as always. Thoroughly entertaining evening!
A one-hit wonder with no hits...

Hey, that's Oh-Ned-Er!

i just can't believe that anaheim set list and then they go right back to the standard routine.
but, i suppose it's a reunion tour and they gotta give the people what they want

Other than the obligatory "Brick," I was actually surprised at effective the "standard" setlist was.  It made for a great show.

Still, I would've loved the opportunity to hear a few of the lesser known/played tracks.

The "standard" setlist is a great set of songs actually. I just wish they'd change it up a bit more from show to show. Throw in a Best Imitation here in there, Emaline.... or something.... They played Tom and Mary almost all tour in Europe. Do they bring it back to us? Nooooo. In Anaheim they also played Julianne and all sorts of beauties. THROW ME A BONE. Hahaaa

(Hi Andy!)

HA!  First greyseal post since October 1, 2008.

And she's still in the top ten.  Hope y'all enjoyed the show.  Did you hang around afterwards to talk to the band or did you have to head home?
