the new jonas brothers album is really good. just sayin'
My new philosophy is that a crappy tape deck somewhere plays a greatest hits collection of strange and tender moments, lost, stranded, and forgotten. I'll meet you there.

Okay, we're now in the fourth quarter of the year. What are you anticipating yet this year, and what have you fallen in love with already (and since this post.)

I will work on an alphabetical by artist list of everything from 2009 that I have, but it's gonna take some time.

Highlights off the top of my head, thus far are; "I and Love and You" by The Avett Brothers, "Manners" by Passion Pit, "Brother's Blood" by Kevin Devine, "Veckatimest" by Grizzly Bear, "It's Blitz!" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, "Merriweather Post Pavilion" by Animal Collective, "Mama, I'm Swollen" by Cursive, "The Life Of The World To Come" by The Mountain Goats, and of course "Walk on Thin Air" by The Old Ceremony.

Some of these records feel like far more than a year ago, especially things like MPP. My life was so different in January. Crazy how 10 months can change a person. For those of you who know me very well, hahaha, you know how true this is.

anticipating, of all things, the new Weezer album. The single has me hoping that the whole thing is dripping with whatever Rivers put into that one song.  It's kind of sweet, kind of dirty, and has an energy to it that just makes you want to jump around.
"Wait, he said 'good things come to those who wait,' but you didn't wait too long" "Keep listening" Kristen, on me and "Bruised"

I'd agree with most of those, Chris, but, I still haven't been able to get into Embryonic yet. Which makes me feel suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper bad cause it's The Flaming Lips! And Wayne Coyne is one of my favorite people. (Also right up there with Obama in coolness when meeting fans). And yet, I'm not really feeling the new album. I'm having the same problem with Noble Beast (still).

aww you need to get into Noble Beast.  I love it.  Have you seen him perform any of it live yet?  I loved it more after seeing him play the new stuff.

I have, and will again this weekend. I dunno. My problem, I think, is that Mysterious Production is just SO good and that's what I was introduced on that despite everything else he's put out since being great, I can't help but when I want to listen to Andrew Bird it always is MPoE, if I'm not trying to prep for an upcoming show. I probably just haven't given it the time/attention it deserves.
