I did not have big bucks to spend when I wanted to get a decent digital piano for my apartment.
Went for a Casio Privia PX-130, which was a good model in the (then) previous Privia line, so a great price.

I've been very pleased with the tone and the action. It might not stand up to "pro" comparisons, but totally unbeatable value in terms of the quality you get for the price tag. Googling around beforehand people were saying the key action was noisy. Had mine about a year and haven't seen (heard) any such issues.

I have this on VHS somewhere... I think we digitized it and put it on the Clubhouse FTP back in the day.
Yeah, I think we ripped this to real movie because it was the only format at the time with decent quality at a decent file size.  Oh the memories!

We need a rerip! I too have it on VHS, but can't recall the generation. I think it was pretty good, though I have emigrated 1,000 miles from my mighty Folds archive.

YEAH! Awesome work greenwire - great to have you back!

The piano is really sparse on the album version. I might work on a solo piano version based on the live stuff. Not as complex as tommyben's version though - http://www.thesuburbs.org.uk/Board/index.php?topic=6628.0 - I'm not that good :D

Are they doing Imitation straight, or the old "doo-wop" version that they used to bring out? (The difference being that the first verse is a capella)

It really goes to show that in this day and age, the internet is all you need to get the word out to advertise. They did this without a label. This was pretty much a word of mouth  deal, and it landed them their highest charting record. A Top Ten!

Mmmm... no label? I get the feeling that once the pledgemusic site went nuts with contributions, Sony's eyes span around with dollar signs and pretty much took over.

I'd like to hear more about how the contributions have helped music education/therapy. How much of the 368% did they get?

Yes! A CD with 28 pages booklet, no pledgers list. It includes all lyrics, except for "Thank You for Breaking My Heart" Japanese version.
However, those lyrics are NOT checked by BFF.

I've spotted a mistake already.

FLAC is pretty well supported, but if you need a player then I recommend VLC on any platform: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

Woah! Good ears!

Makes me laugh too. Several listens in to "Draw a Crowd" and I still chuckle every time.

How much money, Allison? Perhaps you can stuff a briefcase full as a convincer next time you see the boys.

Also, when I found out you guys were putting a collection together to get me on this thing I didn't know what to say! Really humbling.
Remind me to tell y'all about how I was helping to organise this thing. (The cancellation wasn't my fault, honest).

Seems like the right place to post this
For anyone with an account, there's a recording up on DIME: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=420284

Very decent quality. I've only listened to the samples, though.

Thanks for posting! I was really hoping that there'd be a taper there, and this is great quality.
If anyone has trouble with torrents/dime, let me know.
