As your president, I would make it my mission to find a solution to end extreme poverty in the world. If I can't do that, I'll just continue to supply the Internet with ben goodness.

I'll post a link for everyone who wants high quality ben in a day or two.

Reminder to all the aussies that Ben will be performing 'Such Great Heights' on JTV tonight. It's on ABC starting at 11:25 for everyone without tv guides. Then he will be making another appearance on JTV XL next Tuesday playing 'All You Can Eat' on ABC2 at 9:00. For all the non-aussies, don't worry, I'll be recording it, or it will be on JTV's vodcast sometime next week.

Here's the small appearance Ben made on JTV last week:

I made a transcription of Yoshimi a while back, and thought it might be of interest to anyone that has this CD.

Transcription / [Lyrics] - Lost In The Supermarket
« on: May 15, 2006, 02:39:34 AM »

iím all lost in the supermarket
i can no longer shop happily
i came in here for that special offer
a guaranteed personality

i wasnít born so much as i fell out
nobody seemed to notice me
we had a hedge back home in the suburbs
over which i never could see

i heard the people who lived on the ceiling
scream and fight most scarily
hearing that noise was my first ever feeling
thatís how itís been all around me

iím all lost in the supermarket
i can no longer shop happily
i came in here for that special offer
a guaranteed personality

iím all tuned in, I see all the programmes
i save coupons from packets of tea
iíve got my giant hit discoteque album
i empty a bottle and i feel a bit free

the kids in the halls and the pipes in the walls
make me noises for company
long distance callers make long distance calls
and the silence makes me lonely

iím all lost in the supermarket
i can no longer shop happily
i came in here for that special offer
a guaranteed personality
x3

iím all lost in the supermarket
i can no longer shop happily
i came in here for that special offer
a guaranteed personality
x2

yeah yeah yeah yeah

i must give the impression
that I have the answers for everything
you were so disappointed
to see me unravel so easily

it's only change
only everything I know

only everything I know
and i'm only changing

you want something that's constant
and i only wanted to be me
but watch even the stars above
even the things that seem still are still changing

i stay focused on details
that keeps me from feeling the big things
but watch the likeness go wrong in a

you don't you don't you don't stop

follow me into the great unknown
where pink flamingoes grow
diet soda flows
the wine you take magically regenerates
our supermarket shelves
the ovens clean themselves

you don't pay the tab
till the last drop
so we all ride for nothing
cause this train never stops

we make a good team me and you we do
you could scratch my back
and i'll scratch my back too
and everyone is welcome at the party yeah
people more is more
are we all gone poor?

you don't pay the tab
till the last drop
so we all ride for nothing
cause this train never stops

you don't you don't you don't stop

you don't pay the tab
till the last drop
so we all ride for nothing
cause this train never stops

how great i am
got to tell myself that I'm the man
looks grim right now
pretty soon we'll be laughing about it

ooooo it's alright
yeah it is i swear you'll see
[it's not really]
yeah and it's alright
cause i've always got my family of me

it's not a first [might be the last]
yeah i'm sure i must've been through worse but,

ooooo it's alright
got a paddle and a creek
yeah and it's alright
cause i've always got my family of me

rock rockin' the rockin' the suburbs

let me tell y'all what it's like
watching idol with a diet rite
in a house built safe and sound
on indian burial ground, sham on

we drive our cars everyday
to and from work both ways
so we make just enough to pay
to drive our cars to work each day, hey hey

we're rockin the suburbs
around the block just one more time
we're rockin the suburbs
cause i can't tell which house is mine
we're rockin the suburbs
we part the shades and face the facts
they got better looking fescue
right across the cul de sac

hot real estate rising stars
get rich quick seminars
soap opera magazines
forty thousand watt nativity scenes
don't freak about the smoke alarm
mum left the tv dinner on

we're rockin the suburbs
from downing mews to chevy chase
we're rockin the suburbs
we numb the muscles in our face
we're rockin the suburbs
we feed the dog and mow the lawn
watching mummy bounce the checks
while daddy juggles credit cards

i can't tell which house is mine

big sis just turned 19
she's working hard in the middle east
so that we can keep the gasoline
and our forty thousand watt nativity scene
dad saw something on tv, he
thinks i might have the homo gene

and we're rockin the suburbs
everything we need is here
we're rockin the suburbs
but it wasn't here last year
we're rockin the suburbs
you'll never know when we are gone
because a timer lights the pond
and turns the cricket noises on

each night
yeah yeah
we're rockin the suburbs
yeah yeah
we're rockin the
suburbs

Transcription / Re: Accuracy of BFF/NBP songbook?
« on: May 01, 2006, 11:38:55 PM »
The WEAE and BFF/NBP songbooks both have very accurate transcriptions. You might find one or two off notes, but they're generally very good.

The book is correct at both the spots you mentioned. If it really does sound wrong to you, first go back and make sure you're hitting the correct notes and playing the timing accurately. If you're happy with that, try to learn it up to speed. You'd be surprised how some songs can suddenly sounds correct when you can get it up to the right tempo. Playing with the CD always helps to learn too.

Also, make sure your piano isn't out of tune.† :)

If you prefer the NWC and PDFs you've seen, then go ahead and use them instead/as well.
