Happy to help  :)

So here's this- I pulled the two main tracks containing the music from the 5.1 mix found on the Blu-ray. I think you'll find it's much less offensive in terms of extra noises, since the majority of those extra sounds are mixed to the center speaker track, where these are the left and right. That being said, there are still some noises audible (I heard some kids and some lightly crashing waves? I haven't seen the movie), but hopefully it's an improvement. I am not sure it will get much better than this currently, unless a place to purchase the instrumental track is found.

The clip only includes the relevant instrumental portion, since the first portion had vocals and was the same as the CD version. Here you go:

EDIT: Okay, just spent way too long on this one, but I realized that the noises in the 2 channels weren't always the same, so I made you a mono edit - it uses the least noisey parts from either channel and combines them into one, but it loses the stereo width, so it's a bit of a trade-off. But it also let me tack on the CD version ending, so it ends cleaner as well. Let me know what you think. Now I have to sleep.

The "solo" Chicago one is a symphony show. Anything not labeled solo is a yMusic show, but solo can either mean solo or something else like symphony.

Holy smokes, the prices on those symphony tickets. Just dropped around $400 (2/show).

I imagine/hope Park West will be GA as well? Has been for the shows I've been to.

I've done a number of soundboard recordings at Park West. I know Ben usually records his own shows, but is there any chance/way of me getting permission?

EDIT: No matter what I'll be doing audience recordings, but I figure there's gotta be a way.

It would be really really nice if it turns out that Ben Folds is joining yMusic at Eaux Claires in July (so far just yMusic announced). If not, gimme some midwest dates please!

General Board / Re: Whatever & Ever ORANGE VINYL REISSUE

yeah, i was definitely a little disappointed. it was the only main studio album LP i still needed, but i was kind of hoping for a little more care in the reissue. it's fine, just nothing incredible.

Original file is an .m4a off my iPhone voice memo recorder.  I will clean it up a bit in Pro Tools and can output to AIFF, WAV or mp3.

might as well output to MP3- since it was already recorded in a lossy format you won't get any quality back outputting to a lossless format like AIFF or WAV.

As hopefully many of you know, Mr. Ben made a cameo as a botany professor on Community last night, but to my surprise he also had a song on the episode, "Ass Crack Bandit", in reference to the character in the episode terrorizing the students by dropping quarters in their cracks. As confirmed on twitter, the featured voice is unmistakably that of Ruby Amanfu, who many will likely recognize from Jack White's recent solo work.

Until the full song is made available, here is a version I stitched together from a couple of the channels of the 5.1 mix (which helped get rid of some of the in-show sound effects). The rain was mixed in with the music tracks, so there wasn't much I can do about that- but it definitely gives it that ominous feel the episode was going for.

MP3 here. Enjoy!

i did tape it, and there is a lossless version available, as with all of my previous shows i've recorded and promised lossless versions for. i plan to finish organizing and get all of them together in one place and then unleash them like a pack of wolves. sooner than later. promise!

(i do follow-through eventually- you can thank stef for the fact that this is done finally, she kept poking me about it!)

hello gang

this is old, sorry for taking so long, i mostly just forgot about it. audio is untouched - it's decent quality, not amazing - nice if you were there, though!
