couldn't agree more with club zoo being a crap place to see a show. crowd kinda sucked too, at times i couldn't even hear ben over all the chatter (reminded me of the free show at Pitt on bigelow a couple years back). good performance by ben though, you could tell the new bassist was a little lost on the improv. parts (and he looks like prince)

Hey guys,   i was just curious if anybody here knows how to play "row" by jon brion and if they know of any sheet music for it flying around... it was a song in Eternal sunshine for the spotless Mind... it's a really pretty song if you haven't heard it

i thought rufus was pretty good.. i also did think his guitar songs were better.  Gimmemymoneyback, i guess i was lucky enough to be away from the "rock this bitch" screamers... additionally, there was no intermixing of the bands for any jams.. perhaps this was just because it was the first show, because i think when i saw them with guster last summer they were well into the tour because they did a whole lot of mixing it up... here's some food for thought though... from what i gather from the boards, it seems like all the european shows are super rockin... anybody think american crowds just aren't ben's cup of tea?

last night i saw the first show of ben lee, rufus, ben tour and was honestly a little disapointed.  Folds didn't play a long set, which i saw coming just cuz there were two other acts... but he didn't talk to the audience at all (except for the harmony explaining before not the same, and the horn section for army) and there was no improvising on the piano at all within his setlist like normal... but it was nice though having nobody scream 'rock this bitch'.  He  may have not said anything just due to time restraints.. but just a little talk would've been nice! Although, i got to hear some songs i've never heard him play live before like lullabye and still fighting it.. so that was cool... i was waiting for his time to look around though for requests but it never came.. oh well, i guess i've been spoiled with his solo shows..

ps.. ben lee was awesome

Tour Board / Re: Who goes on first Ben or Rufus?

When i saw ben last summer with guster and rufus.. it went guster, ben, rufus..  the whole rotating thing is cool i guess.. but i think if ben ever goes first amongst 3 bands, i'd be way disapointed.. i hope that's not the case this week coming up at penn state cuz i'm gonna probably miss the first act!!
