Looks like Ben will be delivering live tunes from a show the night before on iTunes the next morning. I dig the idea.

... has been noticeably absent from his sets recently.

I would be very disappointed if he dropped this one.

Album Board / Old Man?
« on: January 02, 2008, 06:26:19 AM »
I noticed on the lyrics page that Ben did a cover of this song by Randy Newman at one point. Does anyone have a recording of this? I'd really like to hear Ben doing Randy.

General Board / Ben's Voice
« on: May 02, 2006, 01:16:09 PM »
Is it just me, or has Ben's voice lost a lot of warmth and depth within the past couple years? I realized this most when listening to the XM session from 2002 up against the one from 2006. I've just noticed Ben's voice quality has gotten a bit poorer over the years. I guess growing older can do that to you. Even so, I can't say I don't miss how sweet and full his voice was on Rockin' the Suburbs compared to Songs For Silverman.

Album Board / 1990 Demo
« on: February 26, 2006, 01:46:43 PM »
Does anyone else here find it really entertaining to listen to Ben's old demo tape? I think it's pretty funny to hear how poppy they were. He had guitars, synthesized strings, and everything. I dare to say his music sounded a lot like Fine Young Cannibals.

Specifically, Burning. That song kicks ass. I know it's terrible. But that's why it's so great.

Album Board / Narcolepsy Live

Is it just me, or is this Ben's most amazing vocal performance ever? The bridge of this song, man... it's incredible.

Transcription / Missing the War bridge
« on: October 01, 2005, 03:18:45 PM »
Can someone tell me what chords Ben is playing in the bridge to Missing the War ("Till beads of sunlight hit me in the morning...")? Sheet music would be appreciated, but otherwise just give me the chords, specifying the proper bass notes, etc... you know, the typical thing.

Hi guys. I've got two tickets and one parking pass for the Cathedral Parking garage. They're all in my name, but that shouldn't matter. These are decent seats, they're side orchestra, row C, seats 13 and 15. Right now I'm shooting for $100 for everything. It's less than what I payed total, taking off the tax and the cost of the parking pass.

I had bought these tickets in August, but recently have come to find out that I have a schedule of performances that I can't break in order to attend.

E-Mail me at  if you are interested.

Who's going to this? I got my tickets in the mail the other day, and I'm psyched. Just seeing if anyone else on here is going.
