Just happen to be checking iTunes, and you can now buy the album.  I'm tempted to download a song or two despite preordering the album from Amazon, which probably won't arrive until next week......

I don't know if that has been mentioned yet or not, but there's a new link on the PFoJ website to a biography of the Acappella project that was pretty interesting.  Here's the link (it's a pdf file)

General Board / Mystery Piano in the Woods ...
« on: November 23, 2008, 07:55:24 PM »
My sister sent me this article which I thought was pretty entertaining... perhaps an idea for a Ben Folds future event?

I FINALLY got all my videos up on YouTube  from the Apple Store show and the Congress Theater show.... Enjoy!

Best Imitation of Myself

Free Coffee (without the altoid can, distortion pedal effects)

Free Coffee Town

Kylie From Connecticut (first time played solo)

Way to Normal

You Don't Know Me (w/ Missy Higgins)

Dr. Yang

The Frown Song

Rockin' the Suburbs

Not the Same

The sound quality is pretty good on most of them... the volume got to be a problem overloading my camera for a couple of them at Congress, but they are still pretty good anyway.  Forgive the singing in the background in some of them... tried to hold the camera away from my face.

I know this is SUPER late notice and that I probably won't get ANYONE to buy them now, but I won the lottery for tickets (apparantly they come up with a few extra, and I got notified TODAY).  And I stupidly bought them because I had a friend at UNC that wanted to go, and turns out now she can't go after I've bought them, and I can't find ANYONE else to take them.  Unless I get rid of these, I'm going to be out $113 unnecessary dollars.  So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if anyone is interested and was planning on going, PLEEEEEASE e-mail anytime before the concert tomorrow (I've got a phone that will allow me to receive emails immediately.  2 tickets for $56 each, that's face value.

My email is

Tour Board / What's this new tour going to be like?
« on: September 15, 2008, 03:46:18 PM »
We've all read Ben's posts and heard what he's had to say on the radio and in articles about the BFF show and his upcoming tour.  I've seen him mention several times that they've had actual "production meetings" and are looking to make this tour different... what exactly do you think that entails??  How is the WtN tour going to be different than the past??

Album Board / So I just jumped on the "Has Been" bandwagon...
« on: September 14, 2008, 06:11:53 PM »
For the longest time I refused to buy Has Been (I know, if I was a true BF fan I would have done this a long time ago)  but I couldn't get past the "well, he's just talking, not singing" mentality (much like rap music).

For some reason I finally convinced myself it would be worth it to own it, if just to hear Ben's production.

Now, I feel stupid and wished I would have had this album a long time ago.  It's incredible.  Who knew that William Shatner had it in him.  I love this album.  I love it.

Phenomenal job Mr. Shatner and Mr. Folds.  And I'm sorry I doubted you before.

I bought 4 but turns out I only need 2.  I've got the other two up for sale on ebay if anyone wants to check it out.

News / When are the rest of the Fall tour tickets....
« on: August 16, 2008, 09:26:10 PM »
going on sale?  I was under the impression that all the fall tour date tickets would go on sale 2 weeks ago when the album was available for preorder.  But Chicago still isn't up as far as I know, and that's the one I'm waiting for.  Anybody know anything?

General Board / I'm know this has been stated before but...
