Cheers Em.
My bet on the mystery song is 'Bitches Ain't Shit'.

~A

no problem... i really wouldn't know, but my inner old lady did note an awful lot of swearing, so it could well be. but then there was an awful lot of swearing in quite a few of them, so...

anyway, it was fun, i'm glad i went - if only for the sheer novelty of updating the boards live from a gig!

Did he do the rap before or after the song? Because he sometimes does a rap called "Shortbus Benny" before singing "One angry dwarf"...

it was literally a few words, during the song. and trust me, i would've recognised one angry dawrf!

they shut all the computers down during kate...

it was followed by gracie, then the encore was philosophy which segued into hava nagila, and then bastard.

it was really hard to hear from downstairs, i don't know what the quality was like for the people who experienced it properly... when ben was really giving it some it was fantastic, philosophy and zak and sarah really stood out for me... they are admittedly two of my favourites but then i think boxing could well be my actual all time favourite, and tonight, while it was really great to hear it, it didn't sound too good.

finally i'd like to take a moment to appreciate the fact that the two signs within the store that i could see from my vantage point read "music" and "genius", which i thought was very fitting :-)

and now he's asked for requests... (chaos ensues)

played the opening bars of boxing and then stopped. or at least i think that's what it was... yep, it was, and he's playing it! hurrah!

still the song i don't know... there's a whole clapalong/singalong thing going on, and ben briefly did a sort of rap (that was earlier)

ok, that rocked.

quite entertainingly, everyone down here is trying to watch the stage on a 14 inch laptop that has been helpfully placed halfway up the stairs...

zach and sarah now. long intro by ben, explaining how this song had a long "gestation period"

hello from the soho apple store... i can't see anything, so i figured i'd contribute a live setlist/review!

they've started with jesusland, and whilst the sound down here on the main floor of the store isn't great, everyone upstairs sounds pretty happy!

well hello from new york! i'm hiding in the library from the graduate union protestors currently being arrested one by one out in washington square... doesn't feel right being on the "general public" side of the crowd control barriers, but after the panic caused by trying to get a visa with a criminal record, i'm deeming my civil disobedience days officially over. that, and i'm not entirely sure what they're actually protesting about...

ps - Fan, come off it.
