Post by: Ben_Folds_Fan on September 26, 2012, 10:02:00 AM
As Ben tweeted late yesterday and proudly mentioned at the Houston show last night, the new album debuted in Billboard's Top 10--marking the highest ranking for any BFF or BF album ever.  Congrats fellas!!

Glad to hear it. I was beginning to worry that the album might have been buried, do to the scarcity of reviews available online.

It really goes to show that in this day and age, the internet is all you need to get the word out to advertise. They did this without a label. This was pretty much a word of mouth  deal, and it landed them their highest charting record. A Top Ten!

Mmmm... no label? I get the feeling that once the pledgemusic site went nuts with contributions, Sony's eyes span around with dollar signs and pretty much took over.

I'd like to hear more about how the contributions have helped music education/therapy. How much of the 368% did they get?

seriously. ben should really get us doing this. there's a station here that plays it. but it seems to only play during their "indie soundcheck" which is late night sundays. he played it that first night though it came out. i flipped my shit when i turned my car on after work and WTH it was playing.
