For Giggles: Favorite Song off of "So There"

I am NOT giving you an option for all of the above. Sorry friends. I have set it up where you can change your vote, but I'm curious about what song grabbed your attention the most in the initial week with the record.

I voted "So There" because its so catchy, but part of me wanted to go with I'm Not the Man. That song is so god damn personal. All of Ben's songs have characters, but they aren't always HIM, and they aren't always broken  :'(

He actually wrote that song for the movie "Danny Collins" (about an aging rockstar looking to make a comeback) from which it was rejected.  Not saying he also didn't put a part of himself into it, but the lyrics also make even more sense in that context.

Huh, I never saw that movie when it was released but I may have to give it a watch now.

So There.  I refrained from searching for live clips or spoilers before the tour with Y Music this summer, so the Chicago Fourth Presbyterian Church show ended up being my first exposure to the new Y Music material.  That was the first time in a very long time that I've gone into a BF show not knowing what to expect at all.  So There was the first song they played, so it's stuck with me ever since.  Also, I'm always fascinated by "lost" songs like Break Up At Food Court, New York Times, and Ain't Got No Words, so I was happy to have a final studio version of the latter.

Initially my favorite off this record was Not a Fan, from what I had heard of the live shows. Now that I've heard the actual record, I think my favorite is a tie between Long Way to Go and I'm Not the Man.

I took the bait on I'm Not the Man. So many great songs to choose from, though.
A one-hit wonder with no hits...

Hey, that's Oh-Ned-Er!

I'm a I'm Not the Man fan (don't care if it was written for a film first) and So There. I gave I'm Not the Fan because it's behind in the polls ;)

No shame in being written for a film first. Ben's arguably most famous song was written for a film before it was tacked on the end of Rockin the Suburbs

And while we're at it, who's diggin' the Folds beard?! If this album charts top 10 and he keeps it, I say it's time for a new look. If 1995-2002 was short hair, no glasses, and 2003-2015 was shaggy hair with glasses, I say 2015 - ? should be full beard, shaved head, no glasses.
