I can take it all as sarcastic, definitely. Frankly, I don't know how you act when you're in person, but you've said some things on this board that, yes, I am offended by, and I don't appreciate it. I may seem all pissed off and "tangential," but I hit back when I perceive a dig at my expense. Call it sensitive, but I've let way too many things roll off my back over the years just so someone could spout off. I've had to call out people before, and on one rare occasion, I had to physically put someone in line because they couldn't treat a lady friend of mine with respect. If you were standing in a circle with me and my friends and wanted to call someone some of the shit you've said here, you'd be looked at like an uptight nutcase, and the girls would certainly avoid you. We just have respect, that's all. We clown around, respect each other, and have fun.
If you do hang out with a lot of these folks when you're at concerts, I hope you treat them better than you treat people on this board. These same people have all treated me well and if they did have a problem, they never voiced it. I'd like to remain friendly with them.
Look, I'm all for a "truce." The last thing I need is a bunch of hate (at me and from me) when I'm here because I enjoy Ben Folds. Other people would probably enjoy it too because they could follow a thread without all the deadweight both of us are putting out (which is why I spouted off so much about the "org"; it's all deadweight to me... sometimes I can't even find the topic of the thread in the text of the thread). If you stop all the adolescent posturing, I'm willing to stop the tirades. If you're not willing to chill and shake my hand right now, then (as childish as it sounds) you keep to your threads and I'll keep to mine. That's how things go at my work site. You got problems, leave each other alone. I left your conversation with Alex earlier quietly and with no problems, now I'd appreciate it if you can shake the hand or leave mine. Especially if you can't appreciate the topic of the thread.
And also, since algonacchick is bringing up names, mine is Pat.
