Ok, i'm not a full on fan, and quite frankly i watched some videos and they scare me.  I have no idea what niche of music they apply to, and some of their songs are overly sexual.  but you MUST hear backstabber.  it's an awesome song.  folds said he's a fan... that means they're worth a check out right?  but good lord, they're wierd.
nobody deserves posts on their myspace site asking if they stabbed basketballs.

I adore them.
My new philosophy is that a crappy tape deck somewhere plays a greatest hits collection of strange and tender moments, lost, stranded, and forgotten. I'll meet you there.

I lovelove Girl Anachronism.  Dirty Business is sweet, too.  most of their other stuff I can take or leave, though she's a good songwriter.

I can see how Ben would love them though, because there is some insane piano jamming in there.
too school for c...too cool for school
(too cool for school, y'all)

I also like the piano jamming... it's probably the only reason I listen to them though.

I love them. A lot. Sex Changes gets me every time. And in a completely other strain I love Sing. Not to mention Missed Me. And of course I love Girl Anacronisim. The only song I don't really like is The Jeep Song. And their cover of "Hit Me Baby One More Time" is HILARIOUS. And I love their cover of "Two Headed Boy  part I". Yyyaaayy..... anyways.

My friend went to see them, and, when they were taking requests, they said they'd play any song, so he yelled for the Jeep song and everybody around him laughed and they didn't play it... It's generally renowned as their "worst" song, though Dave's request was actually sincere...

Aww...

I have to admit I quite like it, although I don't think it's one of their best songs.

But generally they are pretty awesome, especially live - I made three of my friends go and see them and now they're all converted to the brilliance of the dolls.

does anyone else hear an odd similarity between Back Stabber and Ben's fake version of Brainwashed?
