We should have some sort of Burb meet up at the 5/15 show. Sounds like a good handful of us are going to be there!

Yay! This will be number 16 or so for me (I've started to lose count!) and I highly doubt I'll be able to drag any of my friends to go with me. They've all had enough Ben. Me, I can never have enough, obviously. I'd love to meet you all!

I just got tickets for the first two. The one in june is the same weekend as a music festival I might be going to and I saw him in January with the Louisville orchestra and I feel like all the orchestra shows are usually pretty similar.

I'm hoping he'll have different setlists for the two chicago shows and I might hear something I've never heard before.

It would be really really nice if it turns out that Ben Folds is joining yMusic at Eaux Claires in July (so far just yMusic announced). If not, gimme some midwest dates please!

The announcement says Chicago but no dates? Assuming they will follow soon.

God I hope so. I just relocated from Boston to Chicago and now he insults me with TWO Boston dates and no Chicago.

I'm starting to like Nick Lachey. What's happening?

Yeah I mean that's the same thing. It worked out for us all because we wouldn't settle for not being in the front, but it's really unfair that we all had to fight with security, and worry about it. I think this is ridiculous! Why would they make us pay that much and then not even inform the venues!

Hey guys, I went to the show in Boston, haven't posted about it yet, waiting until I upload my videos.
But I'm really curious what other people's experience has been with the early entry tickets. They were very expensive but I thought that it was going to be worth the splurge to ensure that I was front row for Ben Folds Five, that is until I showed up, when it was clear that this was very poorly planned out. Unlike the nicely worded instruction email, everything was chaotic and extremely disorganized.
According to the email, check in for the early entry tickets would begin at 5:20 and we would be in the theater by 6. The email also said that Security would instruct us and we needed to print out and show them the confirmation email, and show the ID of the ticketholder.
Unfortunately, when I arrived at 4:45, there were several regular ticket holders ahead of me in line, and security was not at all informed about the early entry tickets or what the process would be for the early ticket-holders.
After we explained that we had paid extra for early entry tickets, they did have the regular ticket holders move back in line. However, shortly after that they asked us all to step back, because it is there policy that people who spent at least $15 in the House of Blues restaurant would get first entrance into the theater. I explained to them that this was not fair because we paid a lot of money for these tickets (much more than $15!) and understood that we would be the first ones entering the theater. After some arguing and explaining, they finally agreed to let us in first, but I can only speak for the few of us that got there early and were already close to the front of the line. I'm really not sure that all the people with early tickets got ahead of the regular ticket holders.
Unlike how the email described, there was no "check in." Nobody ever checked our ID or our email to confirm that we actually had early entry tickets, as was said in the email. And they did not even let us into the theater until after 6.
I am wondering why the communication was so poor at this venue, and if it was different at other venues? It seems ridiculous to me that I paid $117 a ticket (almost an extra $70 off the normal price) just to have to fight for my right to enter the theater early. If they didn't have these early entry tickets, I could have paid the normal price and just gotten there super early like I would have anyway!

Do you guys know whether there will be dates announced for October or are they taking a break?
Not sure whether I should just go ahead and get NYC tickets or wait and see if there will be a Boston show. I'd rather see them indoors...
Kate Miller-Heidke announced she'd be opening for Sep and Oct, so that's a good sign right?
God I hope there's a Boston show.

You are awesome! I've been meaning to write the setlist but I've had my last week of classes and finals to deal with. Thank you so much!

Sure, I'll work on the setlist, and I'll see if I can convert it to another format.

Hey everyone, so the show was amazing!!
To my delight, there was a surprise appearance by the Beelzebubs! Then North Shore, Delilah, and Dartmouth Aires each did about 4 songs, Pentatonix did a longer set, then Ben did three songs (Zak and Sara, Fred Jones, and One Angry Dwarf), then Ben and the Aires did Not the Same, and all the other groups went out in the audience to help with the backup vocals.
Ben positively killed it. Every group was amazing, but the Aires are always my favorite.
I recorded audio of the whole show, if anyone wants to listen:

It's two hours and all one file, I don't know how to cut it up and make a zip file. If one of you wants to volunteer your talents, that would be amazing!

I also recorded a few videos: (I'm sorry the lighting and angle made the quality shit)
