-
Very hard to play, but awesome.

Very good transcription. Thank you. One question though, what "BF live DVD" are you talking about? Is it uhh...the live in central park dvd? I was just wondering if there is another DVD floating around out there or what? I have the central park one. Anyways, good job!
-
thx.
this is from the dvd that came with the ben folds live album. think it was a special edition or something. just ben and piano.
havent seen the central park dvd tho. i'll definitely have to check that out.

This sounds very accurate. You are a very talented transcriber greenwire. Thanks for posting all these songs.
-
This rocks \m/. Thanks!
-
whats the central park dvd, i've never heard of it

Yah, the "Ben Folds Live in NYC Central Park" DVD was a concert that was broadcast on satellite TV or something and someone recorded it and then made it into a DVD. It's very well done. It was floating around a few different torrent sites a while ago. I'm not sure if it's around anymore though. I got mine from the now defunct easytree.org. I'd be happy to post it on a torrent site or just hook you all up with it another way. Let me know. It is rather large, I mean it is a DVD. I believe it's about 2.5 GB (maybe even 4 GB). Sorry about the off-subject comment.

i read somewhere its available on dimeadozen.org, but im buggered if i can get into that site. always too many users.
if someone could seed it somewhere i can get to it that would be immensely cool. \m/

So if I were learning this song is this pretty much the definitive version to use, instead of the crazy one in the songbook?
-
I learned this song by ear and by trying to watch what Ben does, all I can recommend is DON'T use the one from the RTS book....good lord is it awful.
-
If you have been playing for long enough or you are talented enough, the book isn't that bad. I use the transcriptions as guidelines (chords etc) and use my ear to fine tune it and put in the fills and fiddley bits.
-
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I've used a little of the book and the transcription found here and was able to learn the fun beginning part pretty quickly. So much fun to play!
