This is the first completed of my SFS transcriptions (expect more soon). And for everyone on my back about it, the finished BFL transcriptions will be posted one day not long away.
Have fun all!
-
incredible jake, just incredible. you are going to save a lot of people a lot of money.
-
talk about one-up-man-ship! Wow.
This makes me wish I could read music a lot better than I do...
Care to make chord versions for the next SFS ones, Jake? hehe...
Very impressive, hombre. You're like Snickers. Always Satisfies!
Thanks,
Derek.

god i can't wait to play this
it's very ascent-of-stan-esque
awesome, thanks!
-
Awesome work - thanks Jake!! :D

There are chords, above the sheet music. I happen to know he went to a lot of trouble to do that, too.
Thanks Jake - we're lucky to have you.

Awww sweet! Thanks Jake.
I never download the PDF, cause I figure it's just like the Midi notation, but now i'm off to go download all the PDF!
Who da man? JAKE DA MAN!
-
Thanks Jake! Looking forward to the coming transcriptions.
-
This is great work, I could never do something this good!! :)
But call those C# chords Db's!!!! ;)

Yeah I was just going to say..The midi soudns great, and the score is very well set out. Especially impressed that you took the time and effort, to write vocals out. That's what makes it seem like a more professional score. The only thing is with your chord symbals, you should keep them with the key signature. So don't call them sharps, when they should be flats. Makes it easier to read too! Don't feel offended, I'm just a music student!
Great stuff though, and can't wait for more of everything. Also another question do you have perfect pitch?
-
of course he has perfect pitch!
-
Thanks for the advice. I'm very new at this whole chord naming thing. I've always played music by the notes, not the chords names, so you have to forgive me for my first attempt. I'll fix it and post it later tonight.
-
Hey no problem! Just so that your transcriptions look as perfect as possible, because they sure as hell sound like it.
At this rate you're going to beat any other publishing company. Good for you.
-
Jake, as always superior job. You're the man Jake and you rock hardcore!
-
Quality transcription Jake!
Are the BFL and the rest of the SFS ones going to be as detailed this (chords and melody/harmony lines)?
Awesome job.... awesome.
-
not that it matters a lot, but the male vocal line is usually written an octave higher. I think it's to get as many notes on the stave as possible
-
great job you are a lifesaver
-
seriously amazing. your a proffesional

-
hey do you ever think jake could go on to do this professsionally
-
by far...but the question is...do you want to?...

This is a bit of a lame reason for a first post, but is it possible that Jake, with his awesome things and stuff, could create a midi without the odd humming for the vocal line? That would be really great. And at least I'm not asking for an amazingly obscure bit of sheet music.
-
you should be able to turn off different channels of the midi file.
-
that is awesome i wanted to attempt to play it but my skill isn't up there yet. Is this read off sheet or did jake do this by ear?
-
WOW...im new here, and i must say that is an amazing transcription!!
-
Once again, another superb rendition, Jake. Truly excellent.
Just as a matter of clarification, and because I know a lot less about technology/software than I do about music - does your software (NoteWorthy?) automatically quantize your material; and, if so, is there also a facility to unquantize it for a more randomized sound? I'm intrigued as to whether it's quantized or you are just incredibly rhythmically tight...?
Either way, you're still a dude \m/
-
Hey, Jake, good work, I just wanted to ask, um, how? Like, how did you train your ear so well? Did you just play so long that it eventually came to you, or did you do something extra to learn, or what? I just want to start being able to play songs without having to wait for transcriptions ;)
Thanks, your transcriptions are excellent.
-
Wow that awesome! Thanks Jake!
-
Also, you got the lyrics wrong in one part; it's, "past dollar stores and wig shops," not "past all the stores and wig shops."
Otherwise, again, great stuff.
-
Hi,
Nice transcription, and your silver street score is brilliant, ive been looking for that for a long time.
Ive added the rest of the band to jesusland, coz i like to have a backing track to play along to.
It's attached if anyones interested.

Incredible! Simply one of the best transcriptions doing the rounds. It was a great piano part to start with, but kudos for getting the rest in!
