Tour Board / Re: DC Show - 9/24

Here's the setlist:

1.  Zak and Sara
2.  Smoke
3.  All U Can Eat
4.  The Ascent of Stan
5.  Landed
6.  Lullabye
7.  Evaporated
8.  Gracie
9.  Cologne
10.  Effington
11.  Jesusland
12.  Not the Same
13.  Picture Window (Ben Solo)
14.  Levi Johnston's Blues (Ben Solo)
15.  Steven's Last Night in Town

I guess this comes up everytime Ben plays an orchestral show, but I was surprised to see how many older, non-Ben fans were drawn to the performance by the National Symphony Orchestra.  It was interesting watching the gray-haired couple in front of me react to "All U Can Eat."

Woman:  What's he saying?
Man:  I think he's saying, "They give no f*ck."

Just like 89th Key said, Ben briefly forgot the lyrics three times.  Once in "All U Can Eat" (God made us number one because he loves us the best / Maybe he should go bless someone else for awhile / And give us a rest), once in "Cologne" (And if we both might be having the same imaginary conversation), and once in Levi Johnston (Well it turns out we don't believe in abortion).  I say "briefly" because when he forgot a lyric for "All U Can Eat" and "Cologne," he mentioned the lyric he forgot after the song was finished.  It was funny watching Ben stress over this stuff.  After Cologne, he said he couldn't believe he forgot the line about the imaginary conversation because it made up for having the silly story about the astronaut in front of it.  And because Ben played Levi Johnston solo, when he forgot the lyric he just stopped playing, looked up at the ceiling, and said, "Oh what's the next lyric?"

A roughly ten-person choir accompanied Cologne, Effington, and Jesusland.  The choir sat on the stage with the orchestra and I'm pretty sure I spotted Mr. Reynolds as one of the choir members.

Thank You........ ;D

Yes, but do you get... Free Coffee? ;)

The local convenience store had a promotion a couple of months ago for a special mug. If you bought one, you get FREE COFFEE for LIFE.

So I'm covered, and also get both songs stuck in my head at the same time everyday. I try to switch them off, but I lean towards "Free Coffee Towne"   ;D

i'd have to drive to see that. historic event that it would be.

I'm probably going to do the same if the funds are there.

Tickets range between $20 and $48

I hope gas stays down in price, because I'll be driving around 900 miles  :o
