That's a helluva setlist.  Gonna have to play through that to get a feel for it.  Trying to imagine some of the transitions.

That set list is fantastic!  I would have loved for them to have played "Landed" at the Nashville show.

Woah, Landed?! Really? Kinda cool I guess but I would really like it if BFF were to touch on RtS stuff instead. Would love to hear them do Annie Waits, Carrying Cathy or even Fired!

Yes, there is a total lack of visual on Ben. Pretty much how I've been watching these shows. Ha

Awesome. While I don't really want to hear his solo stuff, as I've said in another thread, I wouldn't mind it, as long as it was a GOOD song like Landed or RTS.

As a hardcore fan I'm cool with either choice.  However, as a casual fan of other artists, like Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, etc.  Don't skip the hits.  Look at Bruce Springsteen.  The guy is a live show legend because he plays 3-1/2 hour sets and never misses a single hit while still mixing in new stuff.  Isn't that where, as casual or hardcore fans, we all want the concerts to trend towards?

Oh I know. But Ben doesn't always play Brick, on the counterpoint. They are NOW obviously. But didn't at the show four years ago (http://www.thesuburbs.org.uk/tour/20080918/Chapel_Hill)
Just saying. It's not like Landed was even a top ten song in the nation. Sure, it was a big draw for people across the years, but it is also seven years old. I dunno, I go to a lot of shows. More than should really be allowed, so sometimes set choices are a drag. ... . . like in 2006 every single show started with Trusted. It was a bit of a joke, and we were all a bit sick of it - and he hasn't played it since early 07. SO that's what I get. Haa

True, I just think if you are a ben solo fan, you'd expect the moderately successful radio singles to likely be played - e.g. Still Fighting It, Landed, and You Don't Know Me.  Surprised with KMH on the tour the last one hasn't come up.  I actually expected it as standard fare for the set list.

As much as it is annoying for hits/singles to be overplayed, "Landed" is easily his best non-RTS solo songs, so I have no problem with it. It probably helps that I haven't seen him like crazy over the past few years, but honestly, I really like the song.

I was just thinking today that I would absolutely love to hear a studio version of a BFF remake of 'RtS'.  I cherish how much Ben threw himself into doing the bulk of work on the album, but hearing the songs translated through Robert and Darren would be exceptional.

It'll never happen and I'd obviously choose more albums of new material over retread at any point.  But a Ben Folds - Rockin' the Suburbs, As Told by Ben Folds Five would be a birthday wish.
