Thievery Corporation did a remix of one of the "Fear of Pop" songs and also collaberated with The Flaming Lips.

Built To Spill are freaking amazing as most Ben fans have probably accepted by now. Ben and the Five covered "Twin Falls" by them on "Naked Baby Photos".

The National are pretty good.

of Montreal are amazing.

Dr. Dog are pretty sweet.

Josh Ritter ain't too bad - he does a pretty awesome Modest Mouse cover.

I've not heard of most of the others (those that I have don't merit a mention, other than "!!!" - or "chk chk chk" as it's pronounced... I've not heard anything by them, though).

They're fairly well known I think. I've heard of them, at least, so, even if they're not, there's something.

Looks like a pretty good line up - I would take the opportunity to check out Vampire Weekend, if you get the chance. They're the next big thing to come out of Brooklyn, if you believe the hype. Indie-pop with a very definite Graceland-style African influence. What I've heard of them sounds pretty damn good.

I love Shout Out Louds. So. There's that for you. Same with Blitzen Trapper. matt pond PA is pretty decent.

Avett Brothers have one song that I really like, but it's the only one I've heard.

The National's new album is topping a lot of "best of" lists, if you believe in those things.

But above all, Built to Spill. BUILT TO SPILL.

I didn't know that Thievery Corporation did a remix of a FoP song, where have I been?

And I've heard of !!! but it's not really up my alley.

The National's new album is topping a lot of "best of" lists.

Including mine, which is obviously the most important.

I deff would want to go!!   but the everglades seem a bit of a hassle.  I heard you can't camp out and the nearest hotel is about 45+mins????   is that true.     Im a bonnaroo vet and deff would want to camp out there.  I'll let the alligators eat me if they wish..  :P

EXCELLENT F'N LINEUP!!!!!!

oh yeh... you  should also add to the BOLD list:

the funky meters   (formally The METERS-  they are the Godfathers of New Orleans FUNK!!)
Phil Lesh               (ummm... yeh...   ever hear of a lil band called the GREATFUL DEAD)
The ROOTS
The Walkmen
Arrested Development    -"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII, am everyday peopleeeeeeeeeeee"   :)
Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood

I went to Langerado yesterday.

Ben played for an hour.   I don't remember the exact running order, but the songs he played were:

WHATEVER AND EVER AMEN:
One Angry Dwarf
Kate

REINHOLD MESSNER:
Narcolepsy

SUBURBS:
Annie Waits
Zak and Sara
Gone
Not The Same
Rockin The Suburbs

SILVERMAN:
Landed

OTHER:
Bitches Aint Shit
Errant Dog
The Bitch Went Nuts
Effington
Free Coffee

So, there you have it.  A rather typical setlist.   But I was surprised to hear 4 new songs in an hour set.    At least he played great.   A much better one hour set than the last one he played in South Florida (opening for John Mayer in Palm Beach).   I wish he'd eventually return to the area, and play a regular headlining show.   He hasn't played a regular show in South Florida, since 1997.  Seriously.
