I'm so glad I was able to share this show with so many friends. 8 states were represented in just our group today at the show. Some of you I am getting to see again. Some of you, I just met for the first time. I truly love our community, even though when we try to explain it to outsiders, we might come off as a little crazy. There are fandoms and there is family. I'm glad to be part of this big Ben family. Thank you all for being your wonderful selves and claiming me as one of your own.

In case anyone stumbling through here wondered or if anyone who was there wanted to relive it, I found video of their 'Lonely Silhouette' improv song from that night. This was at Stir Cove, which is behind a casino and their stage was in front of hotel windows. A gentleman was a dark silhouette in a window behind them, so of course, they just made up a song about him. Enjoy!

Yeah, I'm super glad they didn't play that in Austin. Not necessary anymore, or relevant. I didn't like it that there was a drunk woman behind us screaming for it over and over again. I imagine there's a certain element of Ben Folds solo fans that show up and want to hear stuff that they've heard before in concert 2001-2011

Darren DEFINITELY didn't want to play it. I have a feeling out of everything being shouted at that moment in time (because during Sledge's pee break, he turned toward us for some suggestions), I think it might've been something he felt could be played without Sledge being right there on stage with them. But I have always felt that on this tour, if you're gonna yell songs, yell something Five relevant, or if not, at least yell something that's rare and may have not been done before. or so many times prior. For example, I yelled 'Girl', which absolutely would've made my entire life, but I didn't expect him to play it either.

Is it just me, or did all the "practice" the guys did the last four days leading up to this not pay off? The song felt a little flat. I blame a rental piano and weird audio mixing.

I just got around to watching the episode tonight and I felt the exact same way. While watching it, it just felt like something was missing. I also felt that the drums weren't as prominent as they needed to be. With the such small setup in the studio, I think it really muted the sound as well. I know at the show it sounded really tight and it shined through as a great live performance, but I too blame the setup here for the sub-par sound that came across on television.

Justin,

I just want to say thanks again for your generosity last night. I always meet the greatest people at Ben's shows. Although I have only been to 3 thus far, I have friends still from each show I have been to. Brooke and Stef I met last year and they've become some of my best friends and I met David when they brought him yesterday. It was great meeting you as well, and I am hoping to see you at many more shows in the future, sir! I'm not sure if any future shows will hold the spectacle of what we experienced last night or not, but I'll just have to find out!
