Hope they play Michael Praytor if they play on Conan Obrien.

Thanks Andy for putting up the link to the video. I'm slow on the internets so it was a nice surprise to have it available for view so early after their performance. Still...the amber light placement near the robots butt was peculiar...thank "The Great BenFolio" for altering my thought process over the years thru twitter and facebook that I notice such things.

I think onstage banter between them might occur less frequently as they are all in their 40s and are likely thinking about other family members and plans , projects, and their to do lists and whatnot while they are out on the road on tour (household bills, kids...dr apts)...easier to get in the moment when one is is there 20's and 30s and a bit more difficult (but not impossible) when most are in their 40s. It is also likely why they may not hang out after shows or before them as much as folks would like...they are probably on their phones texting/talking/facetiming/skyping...etc to their loved ones. Still there will always be exceptions (there are few absolutes) and there may be a show here and there that goes on for 3 hours if they are all firing on the same cylinders at the same show. When most folks are in their 40s there time is in demand by their wives (or girlfriends), kids, and by their aging parents.. Just my opinion...I could be wrong.  ;)

And it appears Austin noise ordinance is very strict about no musical instrument playing between 1030pm and 7am so that would explain the urgency of no further playing after 1030 pm

The interviewer @KristenKurtis on twitter is a big fan and noted she was extremely nervous during the interview because she is a big fan
. She used to DJ in the city I live in (Spokane, Wa) and I've kept up with her over the years on twitter & I can attest to this.  I have yet to hear the interview but she promised to post a link to a recording of it soon (likely tomorrow)  so everyone can hear. She posted a pic of herself with Ben and Robert y'all can find if you look up @KristenKurtis on twitter

Yeah, I realized that later. I misinterpreted her interview style - she actually did a good job, and did not mean that Ben hadn't done well solo.. I think it was just the way I heard it (in my flawed way). Looking back at it I understand where she was coming from with her questions. I think I'll delete my earlier post.

I don't think she took it too personally. She is a cool DJ. Big fan of piano rockers and others

I have been mentioning in just about all locations I post this that I did not order a replica Darren Jessee Garage door opener, clapper, tricorder, or whatever that thing is he is messing with instead of looking at the camera when the pic was taken.

Got mine today...signed CD...

News / Re: Ben Folds: "What I Know About Women"
« on: September 21, 2012, 07:57:20 PM »
I am a fan like everyone reading this. I’m only stating observations…nothing more…nothing less….but if you go back near a year or so ago on twitter and Facebook there was a quote from Demi Moore that showed up on a twitter account (now gone) then stuff (photos) started disappearing…couple photographs…marriage photos…gone. Most optimists (I count myself as one) thought perhaps they were adjusting their social networking accounts to protect their privacy but sadly this does not seem to be the case. I feel uneasy posting this… these are only my observations of changes on social networking sites…nothing more cause that is really the only way I’ve interacted with them. I empathize with all parties involved for many reason I would rather not spell out here and wish them both peace and happiness wherever the present and future take them and will try my best to not bring this subject up anymore on the INTERNETS…cause really it isn’t my business…but when a couple invest years in a marriage…well I just assume it is a painful thing to end. I figure I can post these observations since Ben has commented publicly about the marriage ending in the article referenced by the link in this thread. If I inadvertently learn anything more (don’t really want to know more…not asking…not researching…not looking) I will likely keep it to myself cause I feel queasy enough hitting <return> on this paragraph.

Generally the first 27 minutes of the entire 47 minutes of the show are with Ben, Robert, and Darren. Best PART! Min 11:40-13:05 Darren discussing fake ID’s from high school and how the name Reinhold Messner “got him beer when he was 16” and Robert chiming in about how they didn’t know everyone else in the world was a fricking mountain climber experts…good stuff!
