« on: January 28, 2005, 03:08:16 PM »
Yes, it's true!  I just read it in the newsletter from the official site:

"We are remastering Whatever And Ever Amen and adding 7 lost classic bonus tracks...out March 22!!
Stay tuned for more details on all! "

I can hardly wait!  I didn't think it would ever happen!  I'm so happy!!!

Cheers,

News / Re:New single landing this month; Album to follow in April.

Wow, it's probably been over a year and a half since I last posted on this forum...

Great news, Andy!   :)  But... who is the source of the rumour regarding the re-release of WAEA?  To me that just seems too good to be true.  I remember "waaay back in 2001" when it was rumoured then, and I was so disappointed to find out that it was ONLY a rumour and it would not be released (really too bad... if I remember correctly they said it would include the studio recordings of Amelia Bright, Tell Me What I Did,  Prince Charming, and The Secret Life of Morgan Davis!)  It would be really cool if it was true, but right now I can't see how it could become a reality.  Didn't Sony have some issues with rights for releasing it?

General Board / Piano Brands: Differences and Opinions
« on: October 04, 2003, 03:57:20 PM »
Hi everyone,

I am wondering what people think of different brands of pianos, what brand you play and why.  Why did Ben choose to play Baldwins?  I've seen in videos that at some concerts he used to play Steinways.  And I've heard of times when he has claimed how Yamahas suck.  I have two pianos at home - a Baldwin, and an Armand.  They are both uprights, and the Armand is quite old.  I get a much richer tone on the lower register of the Baldwin, and I prefer to play it, although the Armand is perfect for the sound it can produce for some genres of music.  How about everyone else??  What do you think is the best, and why?

:o  Hey Kayin, I listened to "Staples".  I really liked the singing in it!!  ;)   I thought it sounded kind of like Britney Spears singing, but without the dubbed-in synthesization of her voice, and all of the robot back-ups. LOL

I've done just a little bit of composing.  I have about 10 little bits of tunes that I have created, for the piano.  I don't have any full songs yet, just bits and pieces of each one.  I haven't started writing lyrics or anything yet.  Once the music is more developed, I will add lyrics, then maybe write the music for the other instruments.  I think writing lyrics will be the hardest part of it all!

Who else here writes?  How about you Oknerihsu?

Wow Oknerihsu! You sound quite musically talented!! :D

As for me, I play piano, bass, saxophone, and just a tiny bit of guitar.  I would like to get started on drums sometime soon! ;)

General Board / piano strings
« on: January 24, 2002, 11:54:40 PM »
Hey everybody!  I was wondering, are grand piano/baby grand strings stronger and more durable than upright strings?  'Cause Ben hits his piano pretty hard, and I haven't heard of strings breaking.  But has anybody been to a concert and one of the strings break?  I have an upright Baldwin, and yeah, I hit it pretty hard, but I don't have near the amount of money Ben does, so I don't hit it as hard as it seems he does, and I have broken 4 strings.

General Board / Where Can I Find....
« on: September 13, 2002, 04:38:57 PM »
Hey everybody, I was wondering - whatever happened to that Apple/iMac TV commercial that Ben was going to be narrating?  Does anyone know where I can find it on the net?  I was also wondering if there is an mp3 or something of the MTV awards show song that Ben wrote the music for, and if there is, where I could find it.

-Thanks!
