GREAT show, I wasn't expecting too much after the webcast from last night, but this was so much better. The venue was pretty small but still not quite sold out, lots of empty spots in the audience. Effington is a great show opener. No Way to Normal (song) although the French Horn was there (there was a French Horn solo later on though, to make up for it). Hiroshima is actually not that bad live. Frown song (real) had a very extended intro due to wardrobe malfunction (smileyface troubles). Free Coffee was awesome, Ben complimented us on our politeness while preparing his piano (in Germany people had been yelling "show us your dick!" at this point in the show). Still Fighting It sounded a bit weird, with Sam always slowing down a lot during the choruses. Thank god for the girl who requested Tom and Mary, great performance and he probably wouldn't have played Lullabye afterwards either if it wasn't for her. Ben introduced Lullabye with a short Messner story. Once again he kind of f*cked up the solo (come on Ben, it's not that hard...). Wasn't too impressed with the three-part harmony in Not the Same (shame on you audience). Sadly no second encore but all in all a wonderful show.
Silly mp3's:
