I'm very proud to present the first of the 'theSuburbs Video Collection'!
I'm assuming you came here from the new page, but if not: To celebrate the reunion gig I've made a DVD of a VH1 Special - "Ben Folds Five Uncut" - that aired the day after TUBORM came out and features a half-hour show that they played in London... the first time they played TUBORM material in front of a live audience.
It's a region-free PAL format DVD which should play in a majority of players (see instructions below)
Download the torrent fileYep, a torrent. I originally had it uploaded on wokeupwaytoolate, but a bug with the server means it can't handle huge files! I will look to resolve it and get a regular download working ASAP.
If you've not come across them before, an ISO file is basically a handy way to store an entire disc as one file. These can be either burned to a DVD, or just watched as they are. Here are instructions for both:
1) Burn to DVD
If you've got a DVD burner you can burn the ISO image straight to a DVD and play it back in any regular DVD player (though it must support the type of DVD your burner churns out). If you've no software already I recommend grabbing the
free ImgBurn software which is super-straightforward to use. Just put a blank DVD in your burner, click "Write image file to disc", select the downloaded ISO file under 'Source' and click the big button at the bottom of the left column.
2) Just watch the ISO
There's a
free player called VLC (VideoLAN) that can play ISO files like they're DVDs. Just install it, open it up, click 'File' -> 'Open Disc...', select 'DVD (menus)' at the top and type 'dvd://' and the path to the ISO file at the bottom (eg "dvd://c:\Ben Folds\Video\bffuncut.iso"). Press 'OK' and the DVD should start playing.
Hopefully that'll help anyone who needs help. If not just post below and either I or someone else will see what we can do.
Enjoy!
