I do not know how many of you care, or have already said this on here, but I have not been here in a while. I was looking through 'time out new York' today, and happened to stumble on the fact that hotel lights are playing the mercury lounge this tuesday the 19th august, at 6:30.

Yes, I am in nyc, and yes I plan on going. You should too. Its $10. I am going to call to see if there are tickets available. (212) 260 4700. Do it.

I hate how you're my brother.

I had absinthe the other day and it was horrible. But good fun at the same time. We have an absinthe bar opposite the bar we always go to so I'm surprised that was my first time.
In other news, I'm in Canada at the moment which is rather amazing!

Amsterdam tonight yayyyy! Very, very excited. Just having to wait for my parents to come back from england so we can drive to holland. I'm hoping everyone will be indoors watching football so there is no traffic! I'll make sure to report back tomorrow with a setlist etc.

the song Ára bátur is so beautiful.  one fellow on commented that, "they play this in the queue for heaven".  i'm inclined to agree.

Yup, I agree its completely amazing. I get to see them next week which is exciting.

Travelling Wilbury's are like the greatest band ever.

Me and my brother and sister were pretty much raised on them.

Yehhhhh, we were.  I love them.

I'm not completely sure how late trams/buses run. I think the latest trams go are about midnight, but you could check the supertram website.

anyone any idea how far the sheffield bus interchange is from the city centre and academy? think i need to get the tram or sumthin??!?!!

The city centre/academy is reallyyyy close to the bus interchange. Probably 5 minutes walk (if that). You can pretty much see the academy from the interchange. You just go to the next road along and its there.

thanks carolyn, im not sure if its the same one im goin to though. im headin to the meadowhall interchange which is apparently a ten minute drive from the city centre or sumthin.  And for what its worth the hoosiers are amazing, although i know im very likely to get ripped apart iminently

Oooh yeh, you just get the tram to sheffield city centre which takes 25/30 minutes. There are a few stops you can get off at and its close to all of them.
