Berlin show from 4 june
« on: June 06, 2005, 03:00:36 AM »
here's my story about an unforgettable event in my life:
when i first told my folks i was gonna leave my homecountry just to see "some kind of piano player", they just said, son you're f***in high.
Maybe i was but after travelling twelve hours by train, i was up for something and ben was too, he was at his best. He really loved playing in germany again, and he played with such enthusiasm for more than two hours. Great songplaying in general but he played the best version of rocking the suburbs i have ever seen, so great!!
he even spoke a bit of german, that was a cool bonus :)
All in all i'd say, i'd travel a day, or even more to see such a concert. Everyone around is gonna get so sick of hearing how awesome that ben folds concert was.
Amen

Frally already sings backing vocals on a few tracks. Check those for the best song on SFS' ;). You know the song I'm talking about. If Frally does the bit I'm thinking of, that's why I love the song so damn much, because of the feel it gives it (regardless of whether it's Frally or not).

Also, she's done a bit of other stuff on Ben CDs (most noticeably/conciously on "Fear of Pop", as well as her vocal track on "Dog" which introduced us, or at least me, to the word "Kumquat").

hey, I do!  In fact, I like the SFS one better than the EP one, mostly because the EP one got me through a particularly nasty breakup.  Now I can listen to it without dealing with all the nasty emotional baggage I attatched to it.

(Alex and Zinefiend do an awesome slow motion high-five handshake and simultaneous break dance moves, before back flipping and giving a joint thumbs up)
