Your Retrospective Highlights

I disagree on amelia bright. you have to remember it was no where near album ready. Then again. I'm an Amelia Bright fanatic.

I sent in WTN Chicago photos. But I didn't get an email asking me to use anything.

I sent a link to my photobucket. Problem is, we all had so many of the same photos, and they're too small to really make out who took 'em.

Yeah, I still think A.B. was worth putting on the disc -- at least if not that then released as part of the vault instead.  The performance is lacking at times yes, but I still think the track overall is good enough to merit a spot.

I don't think it's boredom as much as it is a lack of confidence since he really doesn't know the song yet.  I think a more subdued delivery sorta fits the song anyway, but I agree it could be better.

Hi. thought I'd jump right in with my first post. Just looking at the track list for the retrospective album. 55 tracks and no sign of "One Down "

No surprise it was left of the single album, but 3 Cds full of tracks and it still didn't make the cut.

The version from Ben Folds Live is great, and he's played it every time I've seen him live ( 3 times ). Its definitely one of my favorite Ben Folds songs.

You've seen One Down every time you've seen him? That is a really strange fact.

No not really. It's just strange. I've only seen it a handful of times. It's not like it's Emaline or Last Polka or something I would really want to see more frequently... Like when Sentimental Guy got added into the rotation I was a happy camper, One Down isn't really anything special. Not something that strikes a personal chord with me. Then again I manage people busing tables - so.....

Any Elliott Smith fans think that Robert's vocal on Prince Charming is reminiscent of ES during his Heatmiser days?  Not that it's spot on per se, but I always think of that whenever I listen to it.
