Hey - real question - anyone who gets this that has a PC find a program that substitutes well for Garageband?
my friend uses a program to create edits and loops called fruity loops. i think it's free too. he told me that's what i should use instead of garage band.

in other news i read all the reviews of the new version of WtN and was kinda 'meh' about it, thinking that it could'nt sound that different. holy hell was i wrong. the new chorus on effington is amazing.
dont overplay, keep it simple and in the pocket, support the song, and you will be asked to play more than you have time to. - Chuck Folds

I love the fact that the bass has reappeared. The loud long chord in the middle of Bitch Went Nuts is ace.

I got mine from Amazon today!  The f*cking case was broken in 4 places but at least it's here.  I need to do a rip, and then the listening will begin.

OK so this re-release is totally worth it.  Loved the original release, love this one a little bit more.  I think I actually prefer some of the takes on the original release, but the re-release does sound better in terms of mastering and mixing.

Wow, that was quite a speedy delivery, jealous.
Currently writing my first album....hopefully will record it soon.

Wow. This sounds great. This makes me appreciate the album much more than before.
Thanks Ben! The bass sounds great and everything sounds more full but natural.
Reminds me of the production on the Five's stuff where everything is audible with some real dynamics.

Can't wait to hear the multitracks...

I'm quite perturbed that none of the stores around me are carrying it, yet.

My local "indie" store only got 1 copy, which apparently sold 5 minutes after they opened.
I had to go to 3 stores to find one.

Good Luck.

yea the bass sounds better, but i have to say that this seems more dynamic than WEAEA. to me at least.

Okay...the mix and dynamics as a whole are improved, but the loudest parts of songs are still clipped.  That's a damn shame.

i noticed that, but it's not as much clipping as there was before.

Nowhere near as much clipping as before.  Compare the oh-oh-oh-oh's in Hiroshima for a clear example.
