I liked the video, but it wasn't my favorite. I think Charlie did a good job. I may be biased because I'm a fan of Charlie. I'm not a big fan, I don't follow him of Twitter or anything, but I still like it. I found the video entertaining, and I thought it had some creative ideas. I also like the from above video.
That being said, I hope they do a video with Ben actually in it. It's kind of a cop out not to have the artist in the video. Don't get me wrong I really like both videos. But I would appreciate another one with Ben. I hope they do one that's as good as learn to live with what you are.
But whatever maybe that's just me.

« on: October 10, 2010, 12:45:27 PM »I'm finding the general dislike of the 'Hope is a bastard...kick its backside' quite interesting. I really like the line. It's a very English thing to say if you're trying to tone down your language in front of a (sick) child. It's one line of the album that really stands out as being written by someone other than Ben.
I find myself wondering if the people who don't like the line are American?
I like the line too, and I'm American. But you still could be right.

The new album is so good:
My favorites are Picture Window, Doc Pomus, Saskia Hamilton, and now Password.
At first I wasn't a huge fan of password but when I went back and listened to it I realized how much I enjoy the song. It's very pretty.
I like every song on the album. I can't wait to have it on Tuesday.

I think it will be one of his best selling albums. I think a lot of Nick Hornby fans will buy it. Also, I think Ben has picked up more fans becasue of the Sing Off, the whole chat roulette thing and his small collab with pomplamoose. He's also had a lot of press for this album, and it's a really well written album. I would love to see it in one of the top spots, so I guess we will see how it does come Tuesday!

I think that Picture Window is a very beautiful song. If you don't like it then ok, but a large group of people can relate to this song. i think that the lyrics are lovely, and even Ben himself said that he loves the lyrics.
