Tour Board / Dallas, TX 4/14/2016 setlist
« on: April 14, 2016, 10:24:14 PM »

Setlist (may be slightly out of order):
Beautiful Mechanical (yMusic only)
So There
Long Way to Go
Not a Fan
Rock this Bitch in Dallas - best RTB I've heard yet
Effington
*Pirate Joke* (not the song)
I'm Not the Man
Phone in a Pool
Mess
Music in Circles (yMusic only)
Evaporated
Yes Man
Capable of Anything
Steven's Last Night in Town
You Don't Know Me

ENCORE:
Army
Not the Same

I've seen a Ben Folds and a Piano show, but this was a Ben Folds and a Concussion show. Lotta fun.
yMusic definitely has a liveliness to them that does not come off properly in the recordings. There was such a crispness to it, it was almost like hearing it for the first time again.

Sorry for the double post.

Here's an article about the show from dfw.com:

No Philosophy??

Interesting that he played cigarette [aka FJ Part 1] right before FJ Part 2.  Did he talk about that or just play them back-to-back.

Would have enjoyed hearing OAD in Houston, but I got Gracie and Boxing so am content.

Yeah I realized he hadn't played philosophy on the ride home.

He did the story. Everybody went apeshit when he recited the article from "Cigarette" from memory before he played it. Like, that got more applause than the actual song, I think.

He told us he was going to play a slow song for the first song of the encore, and I was hoping for Boxing, but I am content with Evaporated. Heh heh...

6
that's totally fine. thanks in advance! :D

if it's not too much trouble, do you think you could transcribe Dr. Yang? There's a decent one online already, but it's kinda simplistic and doesn't help me with the more complex piano riffs in the song.

8
haha, wow. I wasn't sure if you would actually do it, but I seriously appreciate it. This is really awesome!

Hi, what are the chances that you can transcribe the great Ben Folds classic, "Baby Rabbits". Here's a link if you're unacquainted with the song:

General Board / Ben in "We're the Millers"
« on: November 04, 2013, 02:19:32 PM »
So I didn't know this existed until earlier today. My friend Daniel told me he watched "that sh*tty We're the Millers movie", and he informed me that Ben had a scene that came totally out of nowhere. So, I took the liberty of finding it and putting it up on YouTube for you guys. Here you go:

Ooh, Lullabye, Redneck, and Regrets would all be amazing. That would make for an amazing show.

Cool that they not only actually played Dwarf and Dumped this time around, but they actually opened with OAD! That's pretty spectacular. Though it wouldn't be a good move for general crowd-pleasing, I think I'd be a lot more excited if they shaved off Brick and Landed and maybe threw in Tom & Mary, Steven, or Boxing or something. Maybe some more stuff off of Messner. I'd really wanna hear Your Redneck Past live.

Pretty good show, even though BF5 doesn't play as many songs as BNL. :P

SETLIST:
1. Michael Praytor
2. Jackson Cannery
3. Selfless
4. Erase Me
5. Uncle Walter (Surprise, and a welcome one at that)
6. Landed (Wish they replaced this)
7. Draw a Crowd
8. Rock This Bitch in Texas (song about Ben being the cause of the death of Wild Boars in Texas)
9. Brick
10. Do It Anyway
11. Philosophy
12. Army

I have video of Praytor, Canner, Selfless, Uncle Walter, and the RTB, I'll try and post 'em later. I dunno how great the quality is or anything, but hopefully it'll do. Guster and BNL were great as well, and so was the opener... Boothby something. Really funny British guy. I remember his setlist off the top of my head so I guess I'll post it as well.

1. I Saw Jesus In My Corn Flakes, What Did He Drink Last Night?
2. I Saw Muhammed In My Corn Flakes, What's The Deal With That?
3. Baseball Playing Spider

All in all, a really great show even if I wished BF5 had more time.
