General Board / Effington Video
« on: May 05, 2009, 09:27:33 PM »
So lately I've been lurking more than posting....but my friend made this Effington video for a motion graphics class she is taking and I was just shocked at how cool it was!

The song is edited down to fit the time allowed for the project, but I think it's really good and funny, and could even see it as an official video. Just thought I'd share some Benly-inspired goodness.

News / New version of Garageband features Ben

Looks like the new version of Apple's recording software has a feature where Artists themselves teach you how to play their songs, and Ben is one of them.  You can preview each artist at the above link, and there's one of Ben teaching you how to play Brick!

News / and singyourheartout

I went to youtube to see if any more videos or what had been added to the singyourheartout contest group page, and it's GONE!  So I went to to see what was up and the site is new and different! And really cool!

However, I'm not seeing much about that I wonder if it's been scratched, least the new site is cool....check it out!

EDIT:  I may have jumped the gun on the contest page being gone on youtube, I just got back to it by abnormal means, but it's disappeared from my youtube profile, so that could just be youtube's fault.

General Board / John Mayer pays homage to Ben Folds
« on: February 21, 2007, 08:20:52 AM »
Hey...sorry I almost never post on here even though I've been signed up a long time.  I just thought I'd share--I was at a John Mayer concert last night (which was amazing), and at the end of his song "Heart of Life," he added an extra lyric that isn't usually in there:

"And it's your life, you can decorate it as you like."

I seemed to be the only one who noticed this at all, and a lot of people around me were wondering why I was freaking out...haha.  Anyway, I was determined to find proof that he didn't just steal the lyric or that it was a coincidence, so I googled a bit, and came up with this article:

Apparently it's Elton John interviewing him, and they both discuss Ben and his lyrics around the middle of the huh!?
