General Board / Re: The Supreme Topic of Bootlegs

Now that I have internet that doesn't have a data cap, I've been reuploading all the bootlegs I have to mega.  There may be some repeats of those on wokeup, but I haven't really done a thorough check.!VxxBUDiJ!UfWMVcWuXCYMgMH03FJdEQ

The only thing that I can't seem to find on my hard drive at the moment is the Freaking Out DVD, which I thought I had somewhere.  So, if anyone has that, I'd appreciate a reupload.

wow, thanks for your effort! i'll be slowly but surely working on grabbing each. i may have the freaking out DVD - will need to dig around some.

A little disappointed that the Vinyl-mp3 download didn't include the instrumental tracks.  Kinda bummed me out.

Agreed. I'm kinda surprised the DVD doesn't contain the instrumental tracks. That's pretty lame.

General Board / Wandering (Instrumental) from 100 Girls
« on: September 15, 2015, 10:15:22 PM »
Hey all-

I was curious after reading through this post about how the version of Wandering from 100 Girls sounded, so I pulled the surround audio from the film and grabbed what is pretty close to an isolated version of Wandering from the film. I say pretty close because, as you'll hear, after the chorus there are various noises and chatter that can be heard - unfortunately this was mixed into the track and couldn't be muted. But all of the dialogue is removed, and I faded out as nicely as possible at the end (it changes gear pretty quickly), so it's pretty listenable!

The end of the chorus has a very harsh edit - again, not me, that's how it is in the film. My guess is that with the dialogue over it it's barely noticeable in the movie.

Anyways, here it is. I hope someone finds it useful!

Album Board / Re: Ben's usage of autotune

the best auto-tune is the kind you can't hear. it's in more places than you think, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

so the 250 copies premium deluxe edition one is $150 or is that the limited deluxe edition? and if so how much is the other one? if i'm gonna be paying 150 bucks do i get to request an alternate non-terrible album cover?

can i buy just the vinyl+DVD? there's no way it's an actual HD DVD right? format's been dead for years. and you don't need a blu-ray for HD 24/96 audio, gonna assume it's just a DVD. where my details is, benny?

Album Board / Re: Another album cut: Phone in a Pool

It was recorded to be a single. So of course it sounds like it was produced to death.

sure, but even well-produced singles don't sound lifeless- that's the point.

wasn't this the last-in on the album, recorded while they were in chicago, and they literally finished it that day? my guess is that they did like, 2 takes and had to get the hell out. so it was what it was. so there. bummer.

Agreed with all of the above, mostly. I was kinda disappointed when I heard this- for the majority of the song it lacks the energy of the live version.

I'm going to this.

i'd happily lend you my little recorder (+ tiny mics if necessary) if you'd be up for recording it. though really an iphone would work just as well for voice.

i think that's just a link to his artist page? don't see a place to buy the episode, but it's nice to have the split up version of the episode on the site now.

Sorry for the double-post, but here you all are: DOWNLOAD

It's a fairly mondo 1.2 GB "720p" MP4  (720p in quotes because the stream was not without it's fair share of compression artifacts), but it's the video as-is yanked straight from the stream in FLV and re-packaged (not re-encoded) into an MP4 container for your viewing pleasure. There was a bit of a hiccup in the stream (during "Army" I think?) where it just froze for a good 30 seconds or so. Sorry, it happened to Allison and I both, not an error on my end.

cool. enjoy.

When I first heard this song live (and even still a little on the recording) I was positive it was his cover of "Such Great Heights" before the lyrics came in.
